The play-off picture is just as intense, with Hull City, Southampton, Wrexham and Derby County in contention, ensuring the race for a top-six finish will go down to the wire.

Who are the favourites for relegation from the Championship?

The 24 teams in the Championship play a demanding 46-game season. Each club plays every other team twice, once at home and once away, making for a marathon campaign that tests the endurance of every squad.

How many teams get promoted and relegated?

Three teams are promoted to the Premier League. The top two teams in the final table earn automatic promotion. The teams finishing from 3rd to 6th place enter a play-off tournament, with the winner securing the final promotion spot. At the other end, the bottom three teams are relegated to League One.

Who was promoted from the Championship last season?

The teams that secured promotion to the Premier League at the end of the 2024-25 season were Burnley, Sunderland, and Leeds.
