It was a disastrous start for the Knight Riders as Taskin Ahmed and Wasim Akram ripped through the top order, reducing them to 10-4 inside the powerplay. Sherfane Rutherford's led the recover with 44, whilst support from the rest of the middle order, included Unmukt Chand, drafted in as impact sub. Andre Russell and Jason Holder provided some late cameos to establish some momentum, but both fell to Adil Rashid, who took three wickets to back up Ahmed's and Akram's efforts up from.
