Man Utd Transfer News: Red Devils Join Chelsea & Juventus in Race for Lens Star Mamadou Sangare

Manchester United are prepared to battle Chelsea and Serie A side Juventus in the race to sign Lens star Mamadou Sangare, according to Calciomercato.
United are expected to bolster in midfield this summer, with Sangare emerging as a potential target for Michael Carrick’s side.
The 23-year-old has been a driving force for high-flying Lens this season as the Blood and Gold maintain their surprise title push.
Sangare form key in Lens title push
Pierre Sage’s side sit just four points off league leaders Paris Saint-Germain, albeit having played a game more than the defending Ligue 1 champions.
And Lens can close the gap to a single point when they take on Toulouse on Friday night.
The form of their star men haven’t gone unnoticed, with Sangare one of the French side’s top performing players in the 2025-26 campaign.
Sangare fee revealed
The Mali international has become a mainstay in the Lens midfield following his arrival from Rapid Wien last summer.
And having penned a five-year deal at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis, Lens are under no pressure to cash in on the young midfielder.
As such, they can command a hefty fee for Sangare should they entertain offers for the Malian, and reports suggest they’ll consider offers of around €30m for the player.
Juventus to rival Premier League pair for Malian
United and Chelsea are unlikely to bulk at that figure with the Premier League pair both tipped to strengthen their respective midfields in the off-season.
The duo would face competition from Italy, however, with Juventus plotting a summer move for the Lens ace.
Juventus’ pursuit of Sangare, though, is dependent on whether they can secure Champions League football.
The Old Lady currently sit fourth in Italy’s top tier, three points behind third-placed AC Milan, and two above Como.
