Arsenal Join Man Utd and Chelsea in Race for £80m Aston Villa Star Morgan Rogers

Arsenal are ready to rival Manchester United and Chelsea in the race to sign £80m rated Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers, reports The Times.
Rogers is expected to be of interest to a number of Premier League sides this summer, this despite putting pen to paper on a new contract at Villa Park last year, a deal that did not include a release clause.
Even so, the England star has been linked with a high-profile switch in the off-season having starred for the Villans following his 2024 arrival from Middlesbrough.
Rogers set to shine for England
The 24-year-old is set to make the England squad for the 2026 World Cup, with interested parties keen to strike a deal for the forward prior to the summer showpiece.
While Villa would entertain a big-money offer for their prized asset, a world class performance in North America would allow the Midlands side to command a huge fee and increase a rumoured £80m asking price.
Such a substantial figure is unlikely to deter the Premier League’s best sides, with Chelsea long-term admirers of Rogers.
They’d face competition from United, with head coach Michael Carrick keen to reunite with Rogers following their respective time together with Boro.
Arsenal eyeing up Villa star
Premier League leaders Arsenal are also believed to be monitoring Rogers’ situation as the Gunners prepare to build upon the campaign.
Arsenal splashed the cash last summer, spending big to sign the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, Martin Zubimendi and Eberechi Eze.
The capital side can ill-afford to rest on their laurels, however, and are tipped to rival Chelsea and United in any race for Rogers.
Gunners' left wing issues
Left wing is something of a problem position for Mikel Arteta’s outfit, with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard both flattering to deceive down this side.
Rogers would immediately elevate Arteta’s options down the left flank as Arsenal look to regularly compete at the highest level.
