
On Tuesday, it was announced that center fielders Carlos Beltrán and Andruw Jones were elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWAA). They join infielder Jeff Kent, who was elected by the Contemporary Baseball Era Committee in December, as the latest members of the Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
Players can earn a spot in the Hall of Fame if they receive votes from at least 75% of the voting members of the BBWAA. Beltrán received 358 out of 425 possible votes (84.2), while Jones tabulated 333 votes (78.4%).

During his 20-year career, Carlos Beltrán was named an All-Star nine times. He also won three straight Gold Gloves from 2006 to 2008 and back-to-back Silver Slugger awards in 2006 and 2007. In his final Major League Baseball season, he won a World Series with the Houston Astros.
Andruw Jones spent 12 of his 17 years in the Majors with the Atlanta Braves, where he was named an All-Star five times while also winning ten straight Gold Gloves. His best MLB season came in 2005, when he won a Gold Glove and a Silver Slugger award after leading the National League in home runs (51) and RBIs (128).
Beltrán, Jones, and Kent will be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on July 26th, 2026 in Cooperstown, New York.
