Scotland won their first World Cup match since 1990 thanks to a 1-0 victory over Haiti
Morocco held Brazil to a draw in their first match of the tournament
Recommended bet: Under 2.5 Goals @ 13/20
It wasn’t pretty. It certainly wasn’t easy, but Scotland ended their 36-year wait for a World Cup win by defeating Haiti in Boston.
John McGinn’s first half goal saw Steve Clarke’s men seal all three points and the Scots know that a point against either Morocco or Brazil should be enough for a place in the knockout stages.
Morocco are up first. The Atlas Lions were excellent against Brazil at the MetLife Stadium, causing the South Americans plenty of problems throughout the game.
The North Africans will pose a far greater threat than Haiti, so Clarke must adjust accordingly.

Team news
Clarke operated with a 4-4-2 against Haiti, but he is likely to revert to a 5-4-1 against Morocco given their attacking threat.
This could see Lawrence Shankland drop out, with Kieran Tierney coming in as the extra defender to help nullify the likes of Brahim Diaz, Ismael Saibari and Bilal El Khannouss.
Mohamed Ouahbi is likely to keep faith with the same starting XI that impressed against the Brazilians.
Saibari was superb during the game and he will once again be the focal point as the Atlas Lions line up in a 4-2-3-1 system.
The stats
These two nations have met once before at the World Cup. That came back in 1998, with Morocco running out comfortable 3-0 winners, a result that ended Scotland’s chances of making it through to the last 16 in France.
Three of Scotland’s previous five matches have featured two or fewer goals being scored and this bet would have landed in three of Morocco’s last six matches.
McGinn became the first Scot to score at a World Cup since Craig Burley against Norway 28 years ago.
Brahim Diaz has found the back of the net 14 times across 26 appearances for the Atlas Lions.
Scotland have faced just one African side since the start of 2020, losing to the Ivory Coast in March.
Morocco have won five of their 18 World Cup matches against European opposition.

Prediction
While the win over Haiti eases the pressure slightly, Clarke knows his side must improve against a Morocco side sure to be brimming with confidence.
By moving to a back five, he might sacrifice goals for defensive solidity, knowing that a point will be enough to see them through to the next stage.
Morocco will come out firing, but this should be a game of few goals, so either expect a low-scoring draw or the Atlas Lions to snatch a 1-0 win in Boston.
Score prediction: Scotland 0–1 Morocco
