Mohamed Salah Open to Seeing Out Liverpool Contract Despite Saudi Transfer Links and Slot Tensions

Mohamed Salah is happy to see out his Liverpool contract should a summer exit fail to materialise, according to Football Insider.
Salah was instrumental as the Reds won the Premier League in Arne Slot’s debut season at the Anfield helm.
The Egyptian scored 29 goals and laid on an additional 18 assists as the Merseyside giants pipped Arsenal and Manchester City to top spot.
Salah signed new Liverpool deal last summer
And after such an impressive season, Salah was rewarded with a new two-year deal, despite turning 33 back in June.
However, the former Roma man has struggled to match last season’s exploits this time around having scored just four goals and provided six assists for Slot’s men.
Salah was also linked with a January exit after an extraordinary rant following Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds back in December.
Reds star was thrown 'under the bus'
The forward accused the Premier League champions of throwing him “under the bus” after being left out of the starting XI at Elland Road.
“I can’t believe I’m sitting on the bench for 90 minutes,” Salah said at the time.
“The third time on the bench, I think for the first time in my career. I’m very, very disappointed. I have done so much for this club down the years and especially last season. Now I’m sitting on the bench and I don’t know why.
“It seems like the club has thrown me under the bus. That is how I am feeling. I think it is very clear that someone wanted me to get all of the blame.”
Salah’s comments came shortly before he linked up with the Egypt national team for the Africa Cup of Nations, a competition the Pharaohs were knocked out of at the semi-final stage by eventual winners Senegal.
Salah has since come back into favour under Slot, and has been directly involved in four goals across his last six league outings.
Summer Saudi switch possible
And while a summer Saudi Pro League switch seems likely, the Egyptian isn’t against the possibility of remaining with Liverpool to see out the final 12 months of his two-year deal.
Salah, who has started Liverpool’s last five league matches, is expected to keep his place in the starting XI for Saturday’s welcome of West Ham.
The defending champions have won three of their last four league outings following their recent 1-0 victory at Nottingham Forest to boost their top-four hopes.
Liverpool currently sit sixth in the Premier League but are just three points behind rivals Manchester United.
