Tottenham remain just four points above the Premier League relegation zone after losing 2-1 at Fulham, for whom a second straight league win keeps them in the race for Europe.

Following last weekend’s 4-1 thrashing by Arsenal in the North London derby, it’s back-to-back defeats for new interim boss Igor Tudor at Spurs – who are on a four-match losing streak and the only team without a Premier League victory in 2026.

The visitors trailed early on at Craven Cottage, Harry Wilson sweeping home his 10th league goal of the season after Spurs failed to deal with Kenny Tete’s initial floated ball into the box.

Spurs have now conceded first in their last five Premier League outings and 16 times overall this term – the joint third-most in the top flight. They’ve yet to come back to win after doing so.

Tudor’s side barely threatened before Fulham doubled their lead in style, ex-Arsenal man Alex Iwobi playing a slick one-two with Wilson on the edge of the box before fizzing a superb shot in off the post with the outside of his foot.

And the hosts ought to have been out of sight before half-time, but Calvin Bassey skewed his close-range effort horribly over the crossbar with the goal gaping.

The second half initially followed much the same pattern as the first, Fulham continuing to create a steady stream of chances as Spurs struggled to open up Marco Silva’s side.

Tudor turned to his bench in an attempt to change that, sending on Pape Sarr, Richarlison and Mathys Tel, and it was Richarlison who halved the deficit with his team’s first shot on target.

Finding space at the far post, the Brazilian rose to head home Archie Gray’s cross, minutes after Guglielmo Vicario had bailed out Spurs’ dawdling defence by thwarting Emile Smith Rowe one-on-one.

Another of the Spurs substitutes, Sarr, had a half-chance to level things up late on but could only find the side-netting, and Fulham were able to see the game out minus any big scares.

With 10 games to go, Spurs, who stay 16th, are in a real fight to preserve their 48-year top-flight status – and the magnitude of their next match at home to Crystal Palace on Thursday cannot be understated.

Eighth-placed Fulham, currently on course for their best Premier League finish since 2012, are also involved in another London derby in midweek, entertaining West Ham on Wednesday.
