Morgan Rogers - over 0.5 shots on target (Aston Villa vs Leeds)
Morgan Rogers has been enjoying a career-best campaign and the England international carries a significant threat for Villa, even if his output in terms of goals has slowed down a little. Indeed, Rogers has landed at least one shot on target in 90% of his last ten appearances in all competitions, with ten-man Villa’s FA Cup loss to Newcastle last weekend the only exception.
When the attacking midfielder last lined up against Leeds in November, he had two attempts on target and three shots overall, scoring twice. The 23-year-old can be just as influential in Saturday’s rematch.
Bart Verbruggen - over 2.5 saves (Brentford vs Brighton)
Brentford are playing with buckets of confidence at present and the Bees have shown that they have numerous ways to hurt opponents from set pieces and from open play. Keith Andrews’s side have hit at least five shots on target in six of their last ten Premier League fixtures and they can put the squeeze on struggling Brighton on Saturday.
Albion keeper Bart Verbruggen’s reflexes are likely to be tested then. The Dutch stopper has been averaging 2.69 saves per 90 minutes this season and the 23-year-old is worth backing to be called into action at least three times when he faces a rampant-looking Brentford.
Pedro Netro over 0.5 shots on target (Chelsea vs Burnley)
A number of Chelsea attackers offer decent prospects in the over 0.5 shots on target market for the Blues’ encounter with relegation-threatened Burnley, though Portuguese winger Pedro Neto is the value pick, priced at just shy of evens with LiveScoreBet to register an accurate attempt.
Neto was a major threat when Chelsea beat Burnley at Turf Moor in November. The 25-year-old had three shots on that occasion, two of which hit the target, with one of those finding the net. Fresh from his hattrick in the FA Cup against Hull, the flanksman should be confident enough to let fly against the Clarets.
Adrien Truffert - over 0.5 fouls (West Ham vs Bournemouth)
It’s slipped under the radar somewhat, but attack-minded Bournemouth fullback Truffert ranks joint-top at the Cherries for total fouls committed this season in the Premier League alongside teammate Alex Scott (27 each). The Frenchman could be collared for at least another foul this weekend when he marks West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen.
Truffert fouled twice when marking Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye in his last appearance and the pacey Bowen has a similar skillset. The West Ham forward has been fouled 1.51 times per 90 minutes this term, and he has the right combination of speed and trickery to draw Truffert into mistimed challenges.
Anthony Gordon – over 0.5 shots on target (Manchester City vs Newcastle)
Newcastle’s trip to play possession-hungry Man City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday night looks like game built for Anthony Gordon. The Magpies will have to use a counter-punching gameplan in Manchester, though Gordon excels in this scenario and he should enjoy accelerating into space behind City’s high line.
The 24-year-old should be brimming with confidence following his four-goal flurry against Qarabag in the Champions League in midweek, so expect Gordon to trust his shooting here. Gordon did register a shot on target when Newcastle faced City in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg a couple of weeks back, and he can repeat the trick here.
