Igor Tudor Set to Leave Tottenham After Nottingham Forest Defeat as Relegation Fears Grow

Igor Tudor is set to leave Tottenham by mutual consent during the international break, reports TEAMtalk.

Tudor took over the reins following the dismissal of Thomas Frank last month but has failed to have the desired effect in north London.

Spurs remain just a point above the relegation zone having lost five of their seven competitive matches under the Croat.

Forest compound Spurs woes

And pressure is mounting on Tudor, who is now expected to depart the club following Sunday’s abysmal defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Spurs started their relegation six-pointer well, but conceded shortly before the break as Igor Jesus headed a Neco Williams corner past Guglielmo Vicario.

Morgan Gibbs-White and Taiwo Awoniyi added Forest’s second and third after the break as the Tricky Trees ran out 3-0 winners.

The result extended Spurs’ winless run to 13 matches and leaves the club facing the real prospect of relegation.

It was also confirmed following the loss to Forest that Tudor’s father sadly passed away, with many suggesting that a mutual departure would be best for all involved.

Tudor replacements revealed

And Spurs are reportedly eyeing up former Monaco boss Adi Hutter and club legend Chris Hughton as potential successors for Tudor.

Hutter has been out of work since he left the Ligue 1 side last October, while Hughton was most recently in charge of the Ghana national team.

Hughton boasts Premier League experience from his time with Newcastle, Brighton and Nottingham Forest, and has previously managed Spurs in a caretaker capacity.
