Real Madrid extended their lead at the top after winning El Clasico last week
Girona sit bottom after winning just one league match this season
Both teams have scored in Barcelona’s previous five matches
Real Madrid moved five points clear at the top of LaLiga after winning their first El Clasico since April 2024 last weekend and Xabi Alonso's side will now aim to follow up with victory over Valencia on Saturday.
Elsewhere, surprise package Espanyol will hope to stay in the top five with a win over Alaves.
We take a look at all 10 games in the Spanish top flight this weekend and have a score prediction for each.
Getafe vs Girona (Friday, 8pm)
Getafe find themselves in mid-table after a relatively decent start to the season, winning four and drawing two of their 10 fixtures.
Girona’s third place finish in 2023/24 seems a long time ago now as the club are rooted to the bottom of the table with just one win all season.
Score prediction: Getafe 2-0 Girona
Villarreal vs Rayo Vallecano (Saturday, 1pm)
Villarreal have enjoyed an excellent campaign so far, currently occupying third place with the Yellow Submarine only losing to Real and Atletico Madrid thus far.
However, Rayo Vallecano have won their previous three games and should prove to be a stern test for the home side.
Score prediction: Villarreal 1-1 Rayo Vallecano
Atletico Madrid vs Sevilla (Saturday, 3.15pm)
After winning just one of their opening five league matches, Atletico have claimed victory in four of their subsequent five games, which included a stunning 5-2 win over Real.
They should continue this run against Sevilla, who have lost their last two league games.
Score prediction: Atletico Madrid 3-1 Sevilla
Real Sociedad vs Athletico Bilbao (Saturday, 5.30pm)
Arguably the most exciting game of the week, the Basque derby is always worth watching.
Both teams find themselves off the pace this season, however.
Sociedad could win back-to-back games for the first time since April, while Bilbao lost against Getafe last weekend.
Score prediction: Real Sociedad 2-1 Athletico Bilbao
Real Madrid vs Valencia (Saturday, 8pm)
Real Madrid have a chance to extend their lead at the top to eight points with victory against Valencia.
The away side are in trouble, winning only twice all season and another defeat looks likely against Los Blancos.
Score prediction: Real Madrid 3-0 Valencia
Levante vs Celta Vigo (Sunday, 1pm)
A single point separates these two sides in what is an important match in the bottom half on Sunday afternoon.
Celta Vigo did win against Osasuna last time out and they could stretch Levante’s winless streak to three games.
Score prediction: Levante 0-2 Celta Vigo
Alaves vs Espanyol (Sunday, 3.15pm)
Alaves are certainly consistent, scoring nine and conceding nine goals this term. With three wins and three draws, they reside in mid-table.
Espanyol, however, have been superb, losing only two league games. In the process, the club have scored 14 times and remain unbeaten on the road.
Score prediction: Alaves 1–2 Espanyol
Barcelona vs Elche (Sunday, 5.30pm)
Barcelona will still be hurting from last week's loss to Real. Having won all four Clasico matches last season, it was certainly a shock to the system.
The Catalan side have conceded in all of their previous five league games and their wait for a clean sheet may go on but they should still have too much for Elche.
Score prediction: Barcelona 3-1 Elche
Real Betis vs Mallorca (Sunday, 8pm)
Betis will be aiming for a first win in three when they face Mallorca on Sunday evening. The Balearic island side have picked up four points from their last six games and have a chance to move further away from the drop zone.
Score prediction: Real Betis 1-1 Mallorca
Real Oviedo vs Osasuna (Monday, 8pm)
The final match of game week 11 features two sides separated by just three points. Osasuna have just one win in five, while Real Oviedo are struggling in their first LaLiga season in over 20 years.
This Monday night match could be a tight affair, but the away side are tipped to have the edge.
Score prediction: Real Oviedo 0-1 Osasuna.
