  • Both teams have scored in Swansea’s last six home matches

  • QPR are unbeaten in their last three away fixtures

  • Recommended bet: Both teams to score

QPR’s six-game unbeaten run came to an end at home to Millwall on Saturday, but the Hoops have made good progress recently after a dismal start to the season, and they will hope to bounce back at Swansea on Wednesday.

Some goalkeeping heroics from Lawrence Vigouroux earned the Swans a point against Southampton, but that was their first clean sheet since August and they will face another tough test when QPR visit.

Team news

Ricardo Santos is the only confirmed absentee for Swansea, who will be led by striker Zan Vipotnik.

QPR’s injury list is more extensive, with Ziyad Larkeche and Joe Walsh both sidelined. Jake Clarke-Salter, Kwame Poku, and Ilias Chair are all back in training, but Wednesday’s trip to Swansea may come too soon for them.

The stats

QPR’s 10 Championship fixtures have produced 30 goals in total.

Both teams to score has landed in all six of QPR’s away games this season.

The Hoops’ away matches this season have averaged four goals per game.

Swansea’s last three home games have featured 11 goals.

Prediction

Only Coventry City have seen more goals in their away fixtures than QPR this season, and the Hoops’ high-scoring ways are set to continue in Wales on Wednesday.

Their five Championship away games have averaged four goals per game, with Wednesday’s visitors scoring eight and conceding 12 at the other end.

Both teams have scored in all six of their competitive trips this season, and that record is likely to be extended against Swansea.

The Swans’ last home game was a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Leicester, and there have been goals at both ends in seven of their eight home outings this season.

The last time there was a clean sheet at the Swansea.com Stadium was in their mid-August hosting of Sheffield United, and QPR will be up for it as they look to extend a three-match unbeaten streak on their travels.

Julien Stephan’s side have scored six goals in these three recent trips, and they have scored in four of their last five meetings with Swansea.

With both sides hoping to move into the Championship play-off positions, the potential for goals is high and both teams to score looks a solid bet.
