Barcelona vs Paris Saint-Germain predictions: Barca braced to ruin Enrique's homecoming

Barcelona won 2-1 at Newcastle two weeks ago
Holders PSG thrashed Atalanta 4-0 in their League Phase opener
Recommended bet: Barcelona to win and both teams to score
Five-time European champions Barcelona and title holders Paris Saint-Germain meet in a clash of the titans at the Spanish side's temporary home at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys.
Barcelona top La Liga, PSG are in first place in Ligue 1 and both have made flying starts in the Champions League after winning their League Phase openers two weeks ago.
Team news
Barcelona will be without keeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen plus Fermin Lopez, Gavi and Raphinha.
Marcus Rashford is set to start on the opposite flank to a fit-again Lamine Yamal.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Vitinha limped out of PSG's 2-0 win over Auxerre on Saturday and are doubts. Desire Doue could be involved after a lay-off though the game is likely to be too soon for Ousmane Dembele.
Centre-back and captain Marquinhos and midfielder Joao Neves are definitely missing.
The stats
Barcelona have won seven and drawn one of their eight matches this season.
PSG have won six of their last seven fixtures in all competitions.
The Catalans have scored in each of their last 44 fixtures, last failing to find the net in December 2024.
Twelve Champions League ties between these sides (since 2013) have produced 49 goals at an average of 4.1 per game.

Prediction
Barcelona against Paris Saint-Germain would be many people's idea of the dream final, but first up they must do battle at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys for League Phase points.
PSG are the champions, ruthlessly swept aside Atalanta 4-0 in their opener and boast all the talent in the world under Catalan idol Luis Enrique, who won this trophy as coach of Barca a decade before repeating the feat with his French side.
But they are also depleted by injuries in key areas with Marquinhos and Dembele notable absentees though there are others.
On their last two away days PSG were beaten 1-0 at Marseille and before that conceded three times at Toulouse, albeit hitting back with six of their own.
The swagger is not quite there, however, and a Barcelona team who are unbeaten have to fancy their chances.
Barca were impressive winning 2-1 at Newcastle in their opener with Rashford scoring both goals and showing signs of his old class.
The ageless Robert Lewandowski has bagged four goals in his last five, livewire Yamal is fit after a break and Barcelona have the tools to win what should be both entertaining and laden with goals.
