Borussia Dortmund's Der Klassiker clash with Bayern Munich is one of 9 Bundesliga fixtures during Game Week 24
  • In-form Augsburg are chasing a fifth win in six games when they host poor travellers Koln on Friday evening.

  • Borussia Dortmund need a win over Bayern Munich in Der Klassiker on Saturday evening to keep their slender title hopes alive.

  • A Hamburg side in steady form should pose plenty of questions for an out-of-sorts RB Leipzig outfit on Sunday.

Game week 24 of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season opens at the WWK Arena on Friday evening, where in-form Augsburg are targeting another three points when they host FC Koln.

On Saturday, five more matches are on the slate, with the highlight undoubtedly the Der Klassiker clash between Bundesliga title rivals Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

There are four fixtures lined up for Sunday, with Stuttgart vs Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt vs Freiburg two of the standout showdowns.

Below, we’ve got tips and predictions for all nine Bundesliga fixtures from week 24of the 2025/26 season, starting with Friday’s face-off in Augsburg.

Augsburg vs FC Koln (Friday, 7:30pm)

Everything is going Augsburg’s way at present and they scored in the 87th and 92nd minutes to turn their meeting with Wolfsburg (3-2) on its head last week to earn a fourth victory in five Bundesliga assignments. The increasingly confident Fuggerstädter could push for another win on Friday evening.

A spirited FC Koln held highflying Hoffenheim (2-2) in their last outing, though they continue to look vulnerable on the road and have gone seven away matches in the Bundesliga without winning, losing five times along the way. That fragility on their travels could be exposed by in-form Augsburg.

Score prediction: Augsburg 2-1 FC Koln

Bayer Leverkusen vs Mainz 05 (Saturday, 2:30pm)

Bayer Leverkusen did a professional job against Olympiakos (0-0) in the second leg of their Champions League Playoffs in midweek, though they dropped points when fatigued directly after playing the Greeks in the first leg, and something similar could unfold on Saturday.

Mainz continue to be dogged under Urs Fischer and have lost only twice in 12 games since the Swiss coach’s appointment in December. The visitors’ ability to sit deep and stay compact could frustrate a Leverkusen side that might lack energy following their continental exploits. Back Mainz to claim a point here.

Score prediction: Bayer Leverkusen 1-1 Mainz 05

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Union Berlin (Saturday, 2:30pm)

Under-fire Gladbach boss Eugen Polanski received the dreaded vote of confidence from his superiors following last weekend’s 2-1 loss to Freiburg, though the Polish coach has now overseen a run of seven straight winless games and relegation fears around the club are heightening.

Union Berlin, meanwhile, were on a poor run of their own before snapping it with a shock 1-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen last weekend. The Iron Ones limited their opponents to just one shot on target in that triumph, with defenders Nsoki, Querfeld and Doekhi all putting in excellent shifts. With that central-defensive trio providing the platform again, Union can avoid defeat on Saturday.

Score prediction: Borussia Monchengladbach 1-1 Union Berlin

Hoffenheim vs St. Pauli (Saturday, 2:30pm)

Hoffenheim let three points slip through their fingers last week, having dominated most of the game in their eventual 2-2 draw at FC Koln. Back at the PreZero Arena, where they’ve won a sensational eight matches on the spin, Hoffenheim can get straight back to business on Saturday.

Relegation candidates St. Pauli have fuelled survival hopes with two wins from three, though both of those victories were secured at home, and on the road, haven’t won a game since the first away fixture they played in September. That’s a winless streak of 11 tussles, nine of which ended in defeat and their lot is unlikely to improve here.

Score prediction: Hoffenheim 3-1 St. Pauli

Werder Bremen vs FC Heidenheim (Saturday, 2:30pm)

Werder Bremen are circling the drain and since choosing to axe Horst Steffen and appoint Daniel Thioune in early February, they’ve lost three matches on the trot, with their latest defeat coming against relegation rivals St. Pauli (1-2)

The tension should be palpable when they meet bottom club FC Heidenheim at the Weserstadion on Saturday. The visitors showed real spirit last weekend when they went toe-to-toe with Stuttgart (3-3) and they point they earned there should give them a lift ahead of their skirmish with Bremen. A share of the spoils could be in the offing in this one.

Score prediction: Werder Bremen 2-2 FC Heidenheim

Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich (Saturday, 5:30pm)

Saturday evening’s Der Klassiker represents Borussia Dortmund’s last chance to rein Bayern Munich in and to turn this season’s title race from a procession into a genuine battle. However, flattened by their controversial loss to Atalanta in Italy in the Champions League Playoffs in midweek, Dortmund might be out of gas.

Bayern Munich have yet to lose an away game in the Bundesliga this term, and though they have kept only one clean sheet in eight league fixtures since the start of January, Vincent Kompany’s title favourites have had the firepower to compensate for their defensive lapses. Bayern can score a vital win in a high-scoring contest at Signal Iduna Park.

Score prediction: Borussia Dortmund 2-4 Bayern Munich

VfB Stuttgart vs Wolfsburg (Sunday, 2:30pm)

Stuttgart were far too good for Wolfsburg when the teams met in October’s reverse fixture, cantering to a 3-0 win that was powered by a goal and an assist from influential midfielder Angelo Stiller. Stuttgart, who have lost only one of their last ten games in the Bundesliga, will be targeting a similar result in Sunday’s rematch.

Wolfsburg’s situation is dire and they are staring down the barrel of relegation following a haul of just one point from their last five matches. Die Wolfe conceded twice in the dying embers in last weekend’s dramatic loss to Augsburg (2-3) in a turn of events that would have put another dent in their confidence. They look ill-equipped to deal with Stuttgart.

Score prediction: VfB Stuttgart 3-0 Wolfsburg

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Freiburg (Sunday, 4:30pm)

Eintracht Frankfurt came out on the wrong side of a five-goal thriller against Bayern Munich last weekend, though in truth the final 3-2 scoreline flattered Die Adler, who had conceded a mammoth 24 attempts and 11 shots on target against the Bavarians.

However, Albert Riera’s troops could muster a response on Sunday. Frankfurt are unbeaten in four previous meetings with opponents, Freiburg, while the visitors have also failed to win ten of their 12 Bundesliga away fixtures since August, losing seven of those along the way.

Score prediction: Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 Freiburg

Hamburg vs RB Leipzig (Sunday, 6:30pm)

Hamburg are making a steady run towards mid-table following a run of six games without defeat. They’ve been delivering the goods at home for months now and haven’t lost at the Volksparkstadion since October 25th. Stuttgart, Dortmund and even Bayern Munich dropped points at that venue since then, so RB Leipzig might fear the worst ahead of Sunday’s visit.

Die Roten Bullen came within a whisker of beating Borussia Dortmund themselves last weekend before Fabio Silva intervened in the 94th minute. Leipzig have now won only three of their last 11 games in league and cup however, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if they dropped the ball again in Hamburg.

Score prediction: Hamburg 1-1 RB Leipzig
