Chasing a competitive target, India looked in control for most of the innings, thanks to a solid 125-run partnership between skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana for the third wicket. Kaur played a captain's knock, scoring a well-crafted 70 before her dismissal slightly opened the door for England. Deepti Sharma then joined Mandhana and kept the scoreboard ticking, keeping India firmly in the hunt. However, it was Linsey Smith who turned the tide with a crucial breakthrough, dismissing Mandhana and swinging the momentum back in England's favour. From there, England's bowlers tightened their grip, applied pressure, and didn't allow the Indian batters to score freely, ultimately closing out the match in their favour in dramatic fashion.
