Voll to A O'Neil130/6
Catch OUT. OUT! Caught. Georgia Voll to Annie O'Neil. Length ball, slog sweeping, Played in the air uncontrolled to long on, caught by Litchfield. That match was all one-way traffic, the Sydney Thunder dominating the Brisbane Heat to win by a comfortable 23 runs. Despite losing early wickets and falling to 4/33, Thunder captain Phoebe Litchfield stabilised the innings by keeping the scoreboard ticking over. She scored 61 off 43 balls, setting the stage for some lower-order boundaries which lifted them to a very competitive total of 153. For Brisbane, English import Sarah Glenn was very impressive with the ball, finishing with figures of 4/18. The Thunder's bowling unit came together to strangle the Heat's batters in the run chase, conceding just 42 runs in the first 10 overs. From that point, they could cruise to victory by 23 runs with wickets shared among nearly every bowler. It was a comprehensive performance from the home side, led by their captain and tonight's Player of the Match, Phoebe Litchfield.
