Runaway leaders Bayern Munich could seal the Bundesliga title this weekend with a victory over third-place Stuttgart.
Hoffenheim are in the midst of a four-game winless slump as they prepare to host Borussia Dortmund.
RB Leipzig have won five of their last six Bundesliga assignments ahead of their tricky trip to take on Eintracht Frankfurt.
Game week 30 of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season rolls into view this week, with action kicking off on Friday night at the Millerntor-Stadion, where St. Pauli host relegation rivals FC Koln.
On Saturday, there are five more Bundesliga fixtures to choose from, with Hoffenheim’s tussle with Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt’s encounter with RB Leipzig in the evening slot, the highlights.
A day later, Bayern Munich’s meeting with Stuttgart should draw plenty of attention, especially if Dortmund falter at Hoffenheim on Saturday. If that scenario unfolds, Vincent Kompany’s side could seal the Bundesliga title with a victory.
As per the norm, we’ve got free predictions and Bundesliga tips for all nine contests from week 30 of the campaign in Germany, starting with Friday night’s opener.
St. Pauli vs FC Koln (Friday, 7:30 pm)
St. Pauli’s hopes of maintaining their top-tier status were severely dented last weekend when they were torn to pieces by rampant champions-elect Bayern Munich (0-5). That was St. Pauli’s heaviest defeat of the campaign so far, and left their goal difference at a dismal -25. Die Kiezkicker have now lost three of their last four Bundesliga assignments, making Friday’s fixture all the more crucial.
Visiting FC Koln are five points clear of St. Pauli, though a reverse at Millerntor-Stadion would drag them right back into the centre of the relegation scuffle. Die Geißböcke can travel to Hamburg in decent form, however. They are unbeaten in four games and manufactured 27 attempts in their 3-1 win over ten-man Werder Bremen last time out. Koln have drawn each of their last two away matches and they could earn another useful point here.
Score prediction: St. Pauli 1-1 FC Koln
Bayer Leverkusen vs Augsburg (Saturday, 2:30 pm)
Bayer Leverkusen blew the top-four race wide open last weekend with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Borussia Dortmund. That was the first time Dortmund had failed to score in a Bundesliga home game this term, making Leverkusen’s achievement all the more impressive. Die Werkself have settled into a consistent rhythm and have lost only one of their last 12 league fixtures and they can push for more points on Saturday.
Augsburg blew a two-goal lead and had to settle for a point against Hoffenheim (2-2) when last seen, and they’ve now gone five games in the division without tasting victory. Augsburg managed to beat Leverkusen in December’s reverse fixture (2-0), but they conceded 20 shots on that occasion, two of which rattled the woodwork and they might not be so fortunate in Saturday’s rematch.
Score prediction: Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 Augsburg
Hoffenheim vs Borussia Dortmund (Saturday, 2:30 pm)
Hoffenheim have hit a wall at the worst possible time. They fought back to earn a share of the spoils at Augsburg (2-2) last weekend, though their draw there pushed their current winless stretch to four games, which is officially their worst run of the campaign so far. Hoffenheim have also dropped points in each of their last three home games and their Champions League qualification hopes are dwindling fast.
Dortmund meanwhile, registered just one shot on target in their limp 1-0 reverse at home to Bayer Leverkusen a week ago, however, they are still firmly on course to finish as “best of the rest” behind Bayern Munich at the summit. Niko Kovač’s side have only lost once on the road in the Bundesliga this season and that was at Bayern back in October, so expect them to be more than a match for a wilting Hoffenheim.
Score prediction: Hoffenheim 1-2 Borussia Dortmund
Union Berlin vs Wolfsburg (Saturday, 2:30 pm)
Union Berlin sacked head coach Steffen Baumgart following last weekend’s dire 3-1 loss at Heidenheim, and replaced him with their U19’s manager, Marie-Louise Eta. In doing so, the Iron Ones made history, with Eta becoming the first woman to coach a men’s team in Europe’s top five leagues. Eta has a real chance to enjoy a perfect start against a poor Wolfsburg outfit on Saturday.
Die Wolfe’s 2-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt a week ago was their ninth loss in 11 Bundesliga fixtures and relegation is beginning to loom large. The injury-hit strugglers could be without up to eight players for their visit to the capital here, and with Eta’s appointment likely to give Union energy, a home win should be the outcome.
Score prediction: Union Berlin 2-1 Wolfsburg
Werder Bremen vs Hamburg (Saturday, 2:30 pm)
An early Marco Friedl red card scuppered Werder Bremen’s chances at FC Koln last time out and they eventually succumbed to a 3-1 defeat. Now sitting just three points above the relegation playoff position, Werder will be determined to muster an instant response. Before last weekend’s loss, Werder had won three times in five attempts, and they were unlucky to lose to RB Leipzig (1-2) in their last home game, having dominated the metrics for both possession (55.3% - 44.7%) and shots (13-7).
Hamburg have been one of the league’s worst travellers this season and their weakness on the road was exposed again last weekend when they were hammered 4-0 by Stuttgart. Hamburg have now failed to win 80% of their away fixtures since the beginning of November, while no other team in the division has conceded more in xG on their travels (33.06). Werder can take advantage of Hamburg’s away-day woes.
Score prediction: Werder Bremen 2-1 Hamburg
Eintracht Frankfurt vs RB Leipzig (Saturday, 5:30 pm)
Eintracht Frankfurt dug out a narrow win at Wolfsburg (2-1) last weekend, though they conceded 22 shots at the Volkswagen Arena and their defensive issues are still front and centre. Die Adler conceded twice in successive matches (vs Koln and Mainz) before that fortunate triumph over Die Wolfe, and their leakiness at the back could land them in trouble against Leipzig.
Die Roten Bullen left it late but eventually forced a win over Gladbach in their last test thanks to an 81st-minute effort from Yan Diomande, though they landed 11 shots on target in that contest and should have won with a bigger margin. Leipzig have won five of their last six games in the Bundesliga overall and are in the driving seat for a top-four finish. They could have too much firepower for Frankfurt.
Score prediction: Eintracht Frankfurt 1-2 RB Leipzig
Freiburg vs Heidenheim (Sunday, 2:30 pm)
Freiburg earned a significant 1-0 win away at Mainz on Sunday evening, with Lucas Höler’s early second-half goal proving the difference. Julian Schuster’s side had been Celta Vigo 3-0 just a few days before that in the Europa League and seem to be juggling their various responsibilities well. With that considered, the second leg they navigated against the Spanish outfit on Thursday evening shouldn’t limit their effectiveness on Sunday.
Basement club Heidenheim finally snapped their 15-game winless run with a 3-1 victory over Union Berlin last weekend, though that felt like a last hurrah rather than a late revival. The relegation favourites have lost six and drawn two of their last eight away matches, and they should find the going tough again when they visit a confident-looking Freiburg.
Score prediction: Freiburg 3-1 Heidenheim
Bayern Munich vs Stuttgart (Sunday, 4:30 pm)
Just days after conquering Real Madrid in a captivating Champions League quarter-final second leg, Bayern Munich can cap a monumental week by sealing the Bundesliga title with a victory over Stuttgart on Sunday (as long as Dortmund don’t beat Hoffenheim). Vincent Kompany’s side thumped St. Pauli 5-0 with a shuffled XI last week to set a new high bar for the most goals scored in a single Bundesliga campaign. The record breakers should be tough to stop again here.
Stuttgart eased to victory against a poor Hamburg (4-0) side last weekend, however, they were on the wrong end of a thumping when they last faced Bayern Munich (0-5) in December, despite having home advantage. Stuttgart have lost each of their last four encounters with the Bavarians overall, conceding 14 times along the way, and they won’t relish facing a buoyant Bayern outfit who are chasing down silverware on Sunday.
Score prediction: Bayern Munich 4-1 Stuttgart
Borussia Mönchengladbach vs Mainz (Sunday, 6:30 pm)
Borussia Monchengladbach’s 1-0 loss at RB Leipzig last weekend kept relegation fears flickering at the club, though Die Fohlen’s form at Borussia-Park has been solid for a while now and they could use home advantage to good effect again on Sunday. Gladbach claimed seven points from their last three home matches and have lost only once in six games on their own patch overall.
Mainz meanwhile, put a lot of work into their Conference League quarter-final win over Strasbourg (2-0) last week and seemed to suffer against Freiburg as a result, slipping to a 1-0 loss following a performance that lacked energy. They could be fatigued again following their trip to France for the second leg in midweek and a Gladbach side with superior running power could capitalise.
Score prediction: Borussia Mönchengladbach 1-0 Mainz
