The Oklahoma City Thunder downed the Los Angeles Lakers, 125-107, behind another impressive 22-point, nine-rebound outing by forward Chet Holmgren. Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a better performance than in Game One, scoring 22 points.
On the other side, Lakers guard Austin Reaves led all players with 31 points on a night when he made 10-of-16 field-goal attempts. Meanwhile, LeBron James finished the evening with 23 points, six assists, two rebounds, and three steals.
Pistons outlast Cavaliers to go up 2-0
Detroit guard Cade Cunningham scored 12 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter of last night's game to lead the Pistons to a 107-97 victory over the Cavaliers for a 2-0 advantage in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Forward Tobias Harris had 21 points in the contest, which was his seventh straight game with 20 or more points.
Cavs guard Donovan Mitchell was fantastic, with 31 points and six rebounds. The same could not be said for James Harden, who only scored ten points while going three for 13 from the field.
Knicks forward OG Anunoby dealing with a hamstring injury
New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby was diagnosed with a right hamstring injury yesterday afternoon. Sources told ESPN's Shams Charania that the injury is not expected to be serious, and Anunoby is listed as day-to-day.

The Carolina Hurricanes scored on two power plays and recorded a shorthanded goal as they defeated the Philadelphia Flyers, 4-1, last night. Canes captain Jordan Staal scored a goal and an assist, giving him two points on the evening, while goalie Frederik Andersen stopped 18 of 19 Philly shots for a .947 save percentage.
Norris Trophy finalists unveiled
The Colorado Avalanche's Cale Makar, the Buffalo Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin, and the Columbus Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski were named finalists for the Norris Trophy, which is awarded each season to the NHL defenseman who demonstrates "the greatest all-round ability in the position." The winner, who is voted on by the Professional Hockey Writers Association, will be announced at a later date.

Yankees reportedly calling up #6 farm prospect Spencer Jones following injury to OF Domínguez
According to a source that spoke to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand, the Yankees are planning to call up the team's number-six farm prospect, Spencer Jones, after outfielder Jasson Domínguez suffered a shoulder sprain on Thursday. Domínguez, who was placed on the injured list yesterday, sprained his left AC joint after crashing into the outfield wall while making a catch in the Yankees’ 9-2 win over the Texas Rangers. He was carted off the field and will be evaluated over the next few days after his initial concussion tests came back negative, manager Aaron Boone said.

NCAA finalizes expansion of March Madness field for 2027
The NCAA announced yesterday that the fields for the men's and women's college basketball tournaments will expand from 68 to 76 teams starting next season. The NCAA will also provide additional funding to schools that qualify for the tournament.
"Expanding the Division I Men's and Women's Basketball Championships is the right decision for the student-athletes and programs that will now have access to the greatest events in college sports," said Virginia Tech University president and Board of Directors chair Tim Sands. "As NCAA leaders, we are especially excited to provide additional, highly competitive games for fans who look forward to March Madness every year."

Aaron Rodgers expected to sign with the Steelers
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is reportedly visiting Pittsburgh today and through the weekend to sign with the Steelers for the 2026-27 season, according to sources who spoke to NFL Network's Ian Rappoport. Rodgers and Pittsburgh will have to negotiate a new deal after the Steelers placed an unrestricted free agent tender on the 42-year-old quarterback in late April.
Vikings sign former 49ers wideout Jauan Jennings
The Minnesota Vikings agreed to a deal with former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings. Though no official figures have been announced, the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero said that the deal is for one year and worth $8 million, but could reach $13 million with incentives.
Entering his sixth season in the NFL, Jennings started his career with the San Francisco 49ers, where he recorded 210 catches for 2,581 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns in 75 games. He started 15 games for the Niners last year, ranking second on the team in receiving yards (643) and first in touchdown receptions (nine).
Colts release CB Kenny Moore II after nine seasons
On Thursday, the Indianapolis Colts released longtime cornerback Kenny Moore II, who had previously requested a trade last month. As one of the best slot corners in the NFL, Moore played in 132 games for Indianapolis, where he recorded 21 interceptions, six forced fumbles, 649 tackles, 39 tackles for loss, and 11.5 sacks.
