All four teams still have a chance of progressing to the World Cup knockout stages heading into the third and final round of Group G games.

Egypt, who top the standings with four points, take on Iran in Seattle, while Belgium, who have drawn both their matches so far, face New Zealand in Vancouver.

New Zealand vs Belgium (Saturday, 4am)

Belgium needed an own goal to claim a point against Egypt and failed to score in a 0-0 draw with Iran and so the Red Devils will hope to finally find the net through their own means against New Zealand.

Kevin De Bruyne and Co recorded a total of 22 shots against Iran and now face an All Whites side that has conceded five goals in two matches.

Despite their struggles to win at this World Cup, Rudi Garcia’s Belgium side are on a run of 15 games unbeaten and so should not be troubled by New Zealand, who have lost 10 of their last 13 matches.

The All Whites have not kept a clean sheet in that time, last recording a shutout in June 2025, and so  Belgium will expect to rack up the goals.

Both New Zealand matches have featured over 3.5 goals and backing another repeat, together with a Belgium victory, could prove a smart play.

Egypt vs Iran (Saturday, 4am)

After earning an encouraging point in their World Cup opener against Belgium, Egypt followed it up with a 3-1 win over New Zealand having trailed at half-time.

Mohamed Salah scored the goal which gave Egypt the lead against the All Whites and Hossam Hassan’s side will likely be relying on the Liverpool legend to help fire them through to the knockouts.

Iran came from behind twice to earn a point against New Zealand and then put in a more resolute display to deny Belgium and claim another draw.

Team Melli are unbeaten in five games while Egypt have won three and lost one of their last six matches.

The Pharaohs are attempting to advance from the World Cup group stage for the first time in their history and they can achieve that feat in style with a victory in Seattle.
