Team News
Spain have doubts over Yeremy Pino (shoulder) and Nico Williams (groin), who sustained injuries during the 1-0 victory over Uruguay.
Victor Munoz (leg) is yet to feature and there is fierce competition for midfield positions with Fabian Ruiz, Dani Olmo and Gavi hoping to earn a slot ahead of Arsenal's Mikel Merino.
Right back Stefan Posch (broken jaw) continues to feature for the Austrians, who must decide whether to make a few changes after the 3-3 draw with Algeria.
David Alaba and Marko Arnautovic (both knee) are managing minor injuries, but both should be available. Arnautovic is in competition with Michael Gregoritsch and Sasa Kalajdzic to lead the attack.

Prediction
Spain were delighted to keep three World Cup group stage clean sheets for the first time in their history, and a solid defence could lay the foundation for success over Austria in the round of 32.
La Roja have suffered penalty shootout defeats in each of their last two World Cup knockout fixtures, but they will be keen to banish those bad memories and should get straight onto the front foot in an attempt to defeat the Austrians in regulation time.
Progress through the group stage was fairly straightforward for Luis de la Fuente’s side, who swiftly moved on from a goalless draw against Cape Verde by registering victories over Saudi Arabia (4-0) and Uruguay (1-0).
Luis de la Fuente’s side are a work in progress, which is understandable given the fitness status of several of their attacking players.
But their star man, Lamine Yamal, is getting better with each game and his individual brilliance could come to the fore against the Austrians, who have done well to get to this stage.
While Spain may be looking to hit their peak in a couple of weeks’ time, Austria are preparing for their biggest match for several years.
Ralf Rangnick’s team were on the brink of elimination at the weekend before Sasa Kalajdzic’s injury-time header rescued a 3-3 draw and a precious point against Algeria.
The Austrians have reached the World Cup knockout rounds for the first time since 1954 when they went on to register a third-place finish.
However, Austrian limitations were evident during their 2-0 loss to Argentina and it would be a surprise if they were to fare any better against the 2010 champions.
