Having moved on from Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, Tottenham now consider Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye as a top winger target, reports TEAMtalk.

Spurs had looked to strengthen on the left wing over the summer and pushed hard to sign Savinho from Manchester City.

City, though, were reluctant to sell the Brazilian, who has since signed a new deal with the Cityzens.

The north London side are expected to pursue wide targets in January, with the left flank a priority for Thomas Frank’s men.

Brennan Johnson, Wilson Odobert, Mathys Tel and Richarlison have all been used on the wing by Frank this season, but none have wholly convinced.

Antoine Semenyo is the dream signing for some but with Liverpool also keen on the Bournemouth man, the Ghana star is believed to be out of Spurs’ reach.

Rogers, meanwhile, has recently signed a new contract with Villa, with Spurs now identifying other targets.

Ndiaye targeted by Tottenham

One of those to have cropped up on the club’s radar is Everton star Ndiaye, who has shone in the opening weeks of the season.

The 25-year-old joined the Toffees from Marseille last summer and scored nine goals in his debut campaign on Merseyside.

The Senegal international, who is expected to link up with the national team for AFCON next month, has struck four times in England’s top tier this term, more than any other Everton player, and his performances have attracted the attention of teams across Europe.

Indeed, Newcastle, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan and Juventus have also been credited with an interest in Ndiaye.

Everton would be reluctant to cash in on their star man in the New Year, while it would take a substantial offer to tempt the Toffees into a sale next summer.

'We’ve got no intention of letting him go'

Head coach David Moyes has also previously laughed off speculation linking Ndiaye with a move away from the Hill Dickinson Stadium, recently telling The Liverpool Echo: “I don’t really see the speculation because I’m not looking, probably.

“I think he’s got a three-and-a-half-year deal here, maybe more, so it’s something that we’re fully aware of, and he’s playing really well.

“It would be wrong for teams not to talk about him because of his form.

“Here at Everton, we’re building a team and we want to build with players like Ili, so we’ve got no intention of letting him go, that’s for sure.”

Spurs, who beat Everton on Merseyside last month, were forced to share the spoils with Manchester United on Saturday afternoon in an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Bryan Mbeumo headed United in front in the first half, but Spurs were level through Tel with six minutes of normal time to play.

Odobert’s effort in second half injury time deflected off Richarlison and past Senne Lammens, only for United to respond in the 96th minute as Matthijs de Ligt rose highest to meet Bruno Fernandes’ deep corner to head past Guglielmo Vicario.
