Brighton have won three and drawn five of their last eight Premier League home games against Newcastle
Arsenal have won 13 and drawn four of their last 18 London derbies in the Premier League
Manchester United have lost six of their last eight Premier League away games, drawing the other two
Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea (Saturday, 12.30pm)
Chelsea went into September’s international break on the back of two good results and then drew one and lost two of their three that followed the interruption. The Blues’ dramatic victory over Liverpool last time out should give them confidence, but they have failed to win their last three Premier League away games and could come up short against a Forest side desperate to turn their fortunes around.
Score prediction: Nottingham Forest 2-2 Chelsea
Brighton vs Newcastle (Saturday, 3pm)
Brighton have won three and drawn two of the last five meetings of these clubs, so it’s probably fair to say the Seagulls should fancy landing all three points. The Magpies have neither scored or conceded in three Premier League away trips this term and might be frustrated again by an Albion team bursting with talent and freshness.
Score prediction: Brighton 2-1 Newcastle
Burnley vs Leeds (Saturday, 3pm)
Go elsewhere if you want goals this weekend because the clash between two promoted clubs at Turf Moor could be a tough watch based on last season’s Championship contests. Burnley boss Scott Parker knows how to frustrate Daniel Farke’s Leeds and will be unafraid to deploy a deep block at home to dig out a draw.
Score prediction: Burnley 0-0 Leeds
Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth (Saturday, 3pm)
The Cherries have a chance to go top of the table, but the Eagles might just have enough cutting edge in attack to claim all three points at Selhurst Park. Palace lost their unbeaten record at Everton after a midweek trip to Poland, but Oliver Glasner’s squad should be glad all over following an international break which saw many of their stars shine.
Score prediction: Crystal Palace 1-0 Bournemouth
Manchester City vs Everton (Saturday, 3pm)
Manchester City will also be looking to steal a march on their title rivals and with in- form Jack Grealish ineligible to face his parent club, they have one less X-factor to worry about against Everton. The Toffees should be concerned about a rested Erling Haaland extending his goal streak and, if they score first, City should run away with this.
Score prediction: Manchester City 3-0 Everton
Sunderland vs Wolves (Saturday, 3pm)
Winless Wolves were heading in the right direction before the international break with draws against Tottenham and Brighton. The light at the end of the tunnel could come from a trip to the Stadium of Light to face a Sunderland side with some key defenders missing.
Score prediction: Sunderland 1-2 Wolves
Fulham vs Arsenal (Saturday, 5.30pm)
Fulham won’t be at full strength for the visit of the table-topping Gunners at teatime and may struggle to match the North Londoners in midfield or on set pieces, ensuring a routine win for Mikel Arteta’s side is in prospect.
Score prediction: Fulham 0-2 Arsenal
Tottenham vs Aston Villa (Sunday, 2pm)
Villa are flying with four straight wins and will fancy their chances of adding to Thomas Frank’s problems at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs have lost their way of late and were fortunate that Leeds were wasteful at Elland Road last time out.
Score prediction: Tottenham 1-2 Aston Villa
Liverpool vs Manchester United (Sunday, 4.30pm)
Anfield hosts the weekend’s headline clash with Liverpool under some pressure after three straight defeats. United fought out a 2-2 draw in the fixture last season but they still don’t seem to have a midfield capable of holding Arne Slot’s side at bay.
Score prediction: Liverpool 2-1 Manchester United
West Ham vs Brentford (Monday, 8pm)
The inconsistent Bees head east to face a Hammers side that have been woeful at home this season, losing all three league games and shipping 10 goals. New boss Nuno Espirito Santo has had enough time to get his message across now, so expect a better performance from the hosts.
Score prediction: West Ham 2-1 Brentford
