Who Can Take Part

Unlike some World Cup promotions that are restricted to existing customers, the WC Free Bet Club is open to both new and existing Betway customers. To be eligible, you must be a South African citizen or permanent resident, aged 18 or older, with a valid Betway account.

How to Enter

Entry into the Free Bet Club is required before your qualifying bets will count. You can enter in one of two ways: by visiting the Betway promotions page and clicking the "Bet Now" button on the Free Bet Club banner, or via the SMS link if you have received one from Betway.

The good news is that you only need to enter once. Once you are in the Free Bet Club, you do not need to re-enter in subsequent weeks. Your entry carries through for the full duration of the promotion, which runs from 12 June to 19 July 2026.

How the Weekly Qualifying Works

Each week, to earn your R50 in free bets, you need to place at least one qualifying multi-bet during that week's promotional period. The weekly window runs from Monday 00:01 GMT through to Sunday 23:59 GMT. Your bet must be settled within this window to count towards that week's reward.

To qualify, your multi-bet must meet all of the following criteria:

Minimum stake of R250. Bets placed below this threshold will not count as qualifying wagers, regardless of the odds or number of legs included.

Minimum of three legs. Single bets and doubles will not qualify. Your multi-bet must combine at least three selections.

Minimum total odds of 1.5. The combined odds of your multi-bet must reach at least 1.5.

Minimum odds per leg of 1.15. Each individual selection within your multi-bet must carry minimum odds of 1.15. Legs priced below this will bring your bet outside of the qualifying criteria.

Betslip must result within the week. Your bet must be fully settled between Monday 00:01 GMT and Sunday 23:59 GMT. A bet placed late in the week that does not settle before midnight on Sunday will not count towards that week's qualifying requirement.

What Markets Are Eligible

All standard Betway markets are eligible for the Free Bet Club, with two exceptions. Enhanced price offers and Betway Boosts are excluded from the promotion. If a selection within your multi-bet is voided or results in a push, your bet will remain eligible as long as it still contains at least three legs and continues to meet the odds requirements after the void is applied.

What Does Not Qualify

There are a few important exclusions to be aware of before building your qualifying bet slip:

Bets placed using free bets are not eligible. Only cash bets count towards the qualifying requirement.

Any bet that is cashed out, either partially or in full, will not be eligible. If you intend to use a bet as your weekly qualifying wager, let it run to full settlement.

Enhanced price offers and Betway Boosts do not count towards the promotion.

What You Receive

Qualifying in a given week earns you R50 in free bets for the following week. This is not paid as a single free bet. Betway awards the reward as two separate R25 free bets, credited on Wednesdays and Fridays. Check the Betway promotions page for the specific crediting schedule applicable to your account.

Free bet winnings are not transferable. Rewards will only be awarded to the verified account holder and cannot be handed to a third party or substituted for an alternative prize.

Key Dates and Deadlines

The promotion runs from 12 June to 19 July 2026. Each qualifying week resets on Monday at 00:01 GMT, meaning you have a fresh opportunity to earn free bets every seven days throughout the tournament. Missing a week does not affect your eligibility for subsequent weeks, as your entry into the Free Bet Club remains active for the full promotional period.

A Few Additional Rules Worth Knowing

Betway will monitor entries for irregular behaviour throughout the promotion. Any violation of the terms and conditions, or any attempt to circumvent the qualifying requirements, will result in immediate disqualification.

Betway reserves the right to change, amend, postpone or cancel the promotion at any time and without notice. In the event of any conflict between promotional material and the official terms and conditions, the terms and conditions take precedence.
