New Zealand are the lowest-ranked nation at the World Cup and that has to be a concern going into this friendly showdown with England, never mind the finals themselves.
Darren Bazeley's 85th-ranked All Whites were clubbed 4-0 by Sebastian Migne's 83rd-ranked Haiti on Tuesday.
And that has to fill every self-respecting New Zealand fan – and Bazeley himself – with dread as they countdown to a clash with England in Tampa.
Helpfully for Bazeley it is only a friendly and England coach Tuchel has a group of players to look at which could make the contest a bitty, stop-start affair.
But Haiti were doubtless in the same boat and we saw how that panned out.
This is New Zealand's last match before they play their Group G opener against Iran so Bazeley needs to pick carefully.
But you cannot help but think that he is on a hiding to nothing here with England set to win this and win it well.
When England are good under Tuchel they can be excellent – they were out of sight by the break against the likes of Serbia, Wales and Latvia last year and New Zealand are probably not as good as any of that trio.
For the likes of Rashford and Anthony Gordon, likely starters without the Arsenal contingent, this is their chance to shine. Expect England's firepower to earn them over 1.5 first-half goals.
