Bayern Munich lead 6-1 from the first leg
Both sides drew 1-1 when in domestic action over the weekend
Recommended bet: Over 3.5 goals
Bayern Munich are already virtually assured of their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League thanks to a 6-1 win at Atalanta in the first leg last week.
The German giants drew 1-1 with Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, but Vincent Kompany’s men still hold a nine-point advantage over Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
Atalanta put their heavy home defeat last week behind them to take a point against Inter Milan in Serie A, in what was a much improved performance.
They will be looking to keep things respectable at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.
Team news
The home side have several players missing for this clash with Manuel Neuer, Sven Ulreich, Jonas Arbig, Alphonso Davies and Cassiano Kiala not available for the second leg in Munich.
Jamal Musiala is doubtful, while both Michael Olise and Joshua Kimmich are suspended for the second leg.
Atalanta will have to make do without the services of Yunus Musah, as the American midfielder is suspended.
Elsewhere, Charles De Ketelaere and Giacomo Raspadori are both injured and will not make the squad for the trip to Germany.
The stats
The first leg was the first competitive meeting between these two in the Champions League.
Across Bayern’s nine European matches this term, over 3.5 goals has landed in six of them.
Four of Atalanta’s 11 games in the competition have featured four goals or more.
Bayern finished the group stage having scored 22 goals, which ranked as the joint second-best attacking record.
Atalanta scored only 10 goals but conceded just two more than the Bundesliga side during the group stage.
Harry Kane is Bayern’s leading scorer with eight goals in the competition.
Mario Pasalic, Lazar Samardzic and Gianluca Scamacca have all scored three goals each for the Italian side.

Prediction
Bayern will already be looking ahead to the next round after their 6-1 first-leg success, and are set to face either Real Madrid or Manchester City in the last eight.
The comfortable victory in the first leg means the hard work has already been done and this will be an ideal chance for Kompany to give some minutes to his fringe players, who will hope to impress.
Even though Bayern are five goals ahead, the hosts will still want more to progress in style and this should be an entertaining clash.
Meanwhile, Atalanta will be aiming to keep things respectable on Wednesday but must also go in search of goals so there seems a good chance of there being at least four overall.
