How will Messi, Bellingham and Yamal do during the World Cup? We have asked our LiveScore experts and this is what they have to say:

LiveScore’s adidas Player World Cup Preview:

Lionel Messi

Still ridiculous at 38. At Inter Miami, he’s managing minutes but continues to deliver goals, assists and defining moments. Not peak Barça, but still controlling games when it matters. This feels like a final World Cup chapter. Argentina arrive as defending champions, with fitness the only real question.

Messi only just one touch, one pass, one moment of genius. With a system built around him but not dependent on him, he can conserve energy and strike when it counts.

Jude Bellingham

A more complete role at Real Madrid this season, slightly fewer goals but still central to everything. He dictates tempo, drives forward and impacts all phases of play.

England’s leader and one of their key players. This could be his tournament. Expect the team to revolve around him as he controls games and steps up in big moments. Can he finally bring football home?

Lamine Yamal

Still a teenager, already one of the most dangerous attackers in the world. Direct, fearless and relentlessly creative for Barcelona. Spain’s system suits him perfectly, structured and possession heavy, but reliant on players like Yamal to break games open.

He thrives in isolation, turning control into chaos in seconds. With nearly 30 goals and 20 assists this season, the spotlight is on as he turns 19 during the tournament.

Florian Wirtz

After a struggling start, Wirtz has taken to the Premier League instantly  delivering goals, assists and complete control in the final third. For Germany, he’s the focal point.

In a system built on structure, Wirtz provides the freedom, finding pockets, linking play and unlocking defences. If Germany go far, expect Wirtz to be at the centre of it.

Ousmane Dembélé

Ballon d’Or winner Dembélé has combined end product with his trademark explosiveness, making him one of the most dangerous wide players in Europe.

For France, he is direct, unpredictable and capable of shifting momentum in seconds. If he hits top gear, he’s a match-winner on the biggest stage and could win France the World Cup with his efforts alone.

Raphinha

Relentless, direct and delivering. Raphinha’s season at Barcelona has been defined by output and intensity, goals, assists and constant pressure from wide areas.

For Brazil, he embodies the “You Got This” mindset. High energy, fearless attacking and decisive in key moments.
