A busy international break has provided action galore but all eyes are now on the return of club football.

We turn our attention to Real Madrid and the future of Eden Hazard, while West Ham striker Michail Antonio is also in the spotlight.

And a well-known BBC Radio 5 Live commentator is on hand to give his expert view as Manchester United prepare to host Newcastle on Saturday — when Cristiano Ronaldo could make his return.

Hazard still has a Real chance

Kylian Mbappe has long seemed destined for a move to Real Madrid — and the saga may finally come to an end next year.

With the Frenchman’s contract set to expire in June, Los Blancos are free to offer the 22-year-old Frenchman a pre-contract at the Bernabeu from January.

But with finances depleted in the Spanish capital, could an attacking star already in the ranks convince the club to save their cash?

Eden Hazard has had an injury-plagued two years since joining from Chelsea and will be hoping to remind everyone of his quality this season.

Would a change in the Belgian’s fortunes impact a potential deal for Mbappe?

Antonio’s rise

It has been quite the journey to the top for West Ham forward Antonio, with the Jamaican now one of the Premier League’s most feared forwards.

The former Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest man, 31, already has four goals in three top-flight games this term and is considered by many as a dark horse in the division’s Golden Boot race.

But the Hammers star has not always been a fox in the box.

We take a closer look at how Antonio has transitioned from a makeshift full-back into a menacing marksman during his stint in East London.

Ian Dennis exclusive

BBC Radio 5 Live’s chief football reporter Ian Dennis took time out earlier this week to run the rule over a busy weekend of Premier League action.

Dennis, 49, commentated on many of Ronaldo's greatest moments during his first spell at Old Trafford and is eagerly anticipating his return to English football.

Read the broadcaster’s views on what kind of impact the Portuguese superstar could make this season.
