Australia vs Egypt (Friday, 7pm)
Australia were outplayed by both the USA and Turkey and only made it through Group D thanks to the wastefulness of the Crescent-Stars, and their time could come to an end against Egypt on Friday.
The Pharaohs put in a good showing to draw with Belgium in their World Cup opener and followed it up with a win over New Zealand and a draw against Iran.
They have lost only two of their last 90 games and Australia, who managed just 11 shots on target in the group stage, may find their limit against the likes of Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush.
Score prediction: Australia 1-2 Egypt

Argentina vs Cape Verde (Friday, 11pm)
Argentina are targeting the first successful defence of the World Cup since Brazil in 1962, and they have been handed one of the more favourable round of 32 ties against a Cape Verde side that have surprised everybody.
The minnows drew all three group games against the odds, but Lionel Messi will be looking to take the game by the scruff of its neck after a stunning start to the competition.
Messi has scored six goals in three games to establish himself as one of the leading pack in the race for the Golden Boot and he can do some serious damage to Cape Verde’s back line.
Score prediction: Argentina 3-0 Cape Verde

Colombia vs Ghana (Saturday, 2.30am)
Victories over Uzbekistan and DR Congo put Colombia in prime position to top their group ahead of their crunch tie with Portugal, and they did just that as they held the Selecao to a goalless draw.
That does not do Los Cafeteros justice, though. They outshot Portugal 24-13 and arguably deserved to make it a perfect three wins from three in the group stages, and they look good value to continue their impressive form against Ghana.
The underdogs scored just twice in the group stages and registered a total of just four shots on target. They have failed to score against Japan, South Korea, Mexico, and England in the past year and now come up against an extremely good Colombia defence that have kept consecutive clean sheets.
Score prediction: Colombia 1-0 Ghana
