England and DR Congo kick off Day 4 of the World Cup Round of 32 when the teams meet in Atlanta on Wednesday.

The Three Lions won Group L to advance to the knockout stages while the Leopards drew with Portugal and beat Uzbekistan to progress as one of the best third-placed teams.

Elsewhere, Belgium face Senegal in Seattle while co-hosts the United States take on Bosnia-Herzegovina in Santa Clara.

Recommended Bets

  • England to beat DR Congo and both teams to score @ 5/2

  • Belgium vs Senegal: Over 2.5 goals @ 11/10

  • USA to beat Bosnia @ 33/100

England vs DR Congo (Wednesday, 5pm)

England reached the Round of 32 with two wins and a draw, scoring six goals in the process, yet they have not been wholly convincing.

After an impressive opening 4-2 win over Croatia, Thomas Tuchel’s side were held to a goalless draw with Ghana before scoring twice just past the hour mark to earn a 2-0 victory over Panama.

The Three Lions struggled to break down the opposition at times and so fans will be eager to see the team go up a level in the knockouts.

DR Congo will be confident of causing England problems after drawing with Portugal and losing by just a single goal against Colombia in Group K.

While Tuchel’s side should have enough to win and progress, the Leopards, with Newcastle striker Yoane Wissa leading the line, should get on the scoresheet against an England defence that has looked fragile despite keeping two clean sheets.

Back England to beat DR Congo and both teams to score @ 5/2

Score prediction: England 2-1 DR Congo

Belgium vs Senegal (Wednesday, 9pm)

Belgium and Senegal both needed wins in their third and final group games to advance and the two nations duly delivered.

The Red Devils were big favourites to go through from Group G but after draws against Egypt and Iran, their place in the knockouts was not assured.

However, Rudi Garcia’s men turned up the heat against New Zealand, recording a resounding 5-1 victory to progress as group winners.

Senegal had a much tougher section at the World Cup, drawing France and Norway and therefore having to face Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland in their opening two matches.

Both strikers grabbed a brace to give their nations victory over the Lions of Teranga and so a win was a must in the final game.

Senegal hit five past Iraq to qualify as one of the best third-placed teams but now face another difficult challenge.

Belgium, despite their slow start, are on a run of 16 games unbeaten and, with the influence of Kevin De Bruyne in the middle of the park, should have enough quality to get the better of Senegal.

However, it will be a close game with Pape Thiaw’s side expected to get on the scoresheet after netting eight goals in Group I.

Back over 2.5 goals @ 11/10

Score prediction: Belgium 2-1 Senegal

USA vs Bosnia (Thursday, 1am)

The United States boast home advantage as one of the World Cup co-hosts and this should give the team confidence after a strong start to the tournament.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side won their D opener against Paraguay 4-1 before beating Australia 2-0, a result which secured top spot with a game to spare.

Defeat by Turkey in the final group match with players rested should not upset the rhythm and the US should progress to the last-16 stage.

However, it will not be plain sailing. The Stars and Stripes have kept only one clean sheet in 11 games while Bosnia have netted in all but one of their last 18 matches.

Nine matches involving the USA since October have seen both teams score and while the co-hosts can progress, it is likely both sides will get on the scoresheet in Santa Clara.

Back USA to beat Bosnia @ 33/100

Score prediction: USA 2-1 Bosnia
