Brazil vs Japan
Rayan (Brazil) to have over 0.5 shots on target
Brazil’s talented frontline has been purring stateside, but while Vinicius Junior and Matheus Cunha have been writing the most headlines, up-and-coming gem, Rayan, has been quietly establishing himself as a real force for the Canarinho too.
The right-wing spot in Carlo Ancelotti’s side has been up for grabs, though Rayan is threatening to make the position his own. He excelled on his first start at the World Cup on matchday three in the group stage with an impactful shift against Scotland, assisting Vini Jr for Brazil’s opener while letting fly with two shots of his own, one of which hit the target.
The 19-year-old Bournemouth starlet has the tools to be just as big a nuisance against Japan, and in terms of bet builder odds, Rayan easily represents the best value from Brazil’s forward line in the over 0.5 shots on target market, with Vinicius Jr and Cunha priced out of reasonable range.
Recommended bet: Rayan (Brazil) to have over 0.5 shots on target
Hiroki Ito (Japan) to concede over 1.5 fouls
The second entry in our bet builder feature for Monday ties in with the first. Hiroki Ito has been deployed as the furthest left member of a central-defensive trio for Japan, and if he’s fielded there again, he will likely be up in direct opposition to livewire winger Rayan.
Ito has already conceded seven fouls at the World Cup, a haul which includes one foul against the Netherlands, three against Tunisia and a further three against Sweden. In that last outing against the Swedes, Ito struggled against the pace of Anthony Elanga, and Brazil’s Rayan is a player with a similar profile.
Bayern Munich defender Ito won’t relish the task of trying to time tackles against Rayan’s trickery, and the 27-year-old is backed to clock at least two fouls for his third successive World Cup appearance here.
Recommended bet: Hiroki Ito (Japan) to concede over 1.5 fouls
Germany vs Paraguay
Felix Nmecha (Germany) to have over 1.5 shots
Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha has been building his reputation as a fine box-to-box midfielder this summer and our bet builder tips today fancy the 25-year-old to play with cutting edge again at the Gillette Stadium.
Nmecha is fancied to beat a target of over 1.5 shots against Japan, a bet that would have reaped dividends in each of his three World Cup appearances so far. Indeed, Nmecha has racked up eight attempts for Germany at the tournament, making him the joint-leader for that metric alongside Florian Wirtz and Kai Havertz.
The willing runner registered four attempts vs Curacao, two vs Ivory Coast and another two in Die Mannschaft’s narrow loss to Ecuador, and he should have more opportunities to threaten against a Paraguay defence that has conceded a combined 60 shots since the start of the World Cup.
Recommended bet: Felix Nmecha (Germany) to have over 1.5 shots
Juan Jose Caceres (Paraguay) to concede over 1.5 fouls
Underdogs Paraguay, who have been averaging the fifth-lowest possession figures per game (33.6%) at the 2026 World Cup, should have enough hefty defensive workload to get through against Germany, so expect their tackles and fouls counts to be high in Foxborough.
Only four nations have committed more fouls in total (41) than the South Americans so far, and in terms of individual contributors to that haul, few of their players have chipped in more than defender Juan Jose Caceres.
The 26-year-old has fouled seven times in three runouts overall, giving away three free kicks versus the USA, two against Turkey and two more against Australia. Caceres, who fouled at a rate of 1.97 times per 90 minutes for Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Premier League last season, is a consistent foul-market performer and is priced generously to be collared at least twice again on Monday.
Recommended bet: Juan Jose Caceres (Paraguay) to concede over 1.5 fouls
