The 21-year-old had emerged on Celtic’s radar ahead of their Champions League play-off against LASK, with the Hoops making their interest known despite never submitting a formal offer.

Slovan Liberec were understood to be open to selling the Bosnia and Herzegovina international and his future has now been resolved, with Corum securing his signature on a three-year deal with the option of another season.

The Turkish club, who have already signed former Hearts attacker Alexandros Kyziridis, confirmed Mahmic’s arrival in a statement.

“Our club has reached an agreement regarding the permanent transfer of Ermin Mahmić, a 2005-born Bosnian national midfielder currently wearing the FC Slovan Liberec jersey.

“A 3+1 year contract has been signed with our young footballer.

“Mahmić, who competed in the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the Bosnia and Herzegovina National Team, became his team’s top scorer in the tournament with 2 goals in matches against Switzerland and Qatar.

“Ermin Mahmić, who was on the transfer lists of many clubs from Europe’s major leagues, chose ARCA Çorum FK.
