The stats

Having been winless in their first five home league games this season (drawing three and losing two), Wrexham have now won each of their last three at the Racecourse.

Bristol City have lost just one of their seven away league games this season (winning three and drawing three), with that 5-1 defeat at Stoke responsible for 63% of their away goals conceded this term (5/8).

Prediction

Following the weekend’s Championship action, Wrexham were 14th while Bristol City sat fourth. However, the league is so tight, the Welsh side are only four points behind the Robins and could move within one should they win on Wednesday night.

Phil Parkinson’s side will head into the game full of confidence having won their last three home games in the Championship.

Wrexham endured a stuttering start to life back in the second tier but have become much more solid at the back, recording four clean sheets in their last six league matches.

Losing only twice since mid-September, Wrexham have shown they can compete at this level and will prove a tough test for Bristol City.

Gerhard Struber’s side returned to winning ways on Saturday after three games without a victory, but they could suffer another loss on Wednesday with Wrexham particularly strong at home.

In front of their own fans, Parkinson’s men always seem to find a way to win and will earn another three points which will take them into the top half of the table.
