Wolves will look to extend their unbeaten start to six matches when they travel to the London Stadium to take on West Ham in the Championship on Tuesday.

The Hammers and Old Gold were installed as the favourites for promotion in the summer, but it is the latter who have made the better start.

West Ham were left frustrated last weekend after a 1-1 draw with Watford and now lie in 19th place, while Wolves hammered Stoke 4-1 to climb to second and they will be relishing the chance to put further pressure on the hosts and manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Team news

Joel Piroe was on the West Ham the bench last week, but could come back into the starting XI.

Tomas Soucek remains sidelined due to a thigh issue, but he is the only member of the Hammers squad in the treatment room.

Wolves also have a clean bill of health but the short turnaround may tempt Cesar Peixoto to make changes.

Youngster Jordan James has had to bide his time from the bench, but after making a late scoring cameo against Stoke, he might now be considered from the start.

The stats

West Ham have lost only one of five games in all competitions this season, but their only two victories have come in the Carabao Cup.

The Hammers have yet to keep a clean sheet, but have also netted in each of their fixtures in all competitions.

Wolves are unbeaten in each of their five games this season, winning four and drawing one.

The Old Gold have scored 14 goals in five games, but their only two clean sheets came in the Carabao Cup.

Wolves have won three of their last four games against West Ham.

Prediction

The pressure of being promotion favourites has not done West Ham any favours and with plenty of high-profile players sold this summer, their fans are bound to be unhappy.

Wolves can capitalise on the negativity surrounding the hosts and their recent form is hard to ignore, as they have scored two or more goals in all of their five outings.

However, clean sheets have been hard to come by in the Championship and West Ham have scored in all five of their games, while eight of the combined 10 games these sides have played this season have gone over 2.5 goals.

Wolves have netted three or more in three games so could potentially cover that line themselves, while Mexico international Raul Jimenez has made an excellent start to life back at Molineux.

Jimenez has fired off 12 shots already this year, scoring two goals in three Championship games and, given he is likely to be on penalty duty as well, he looks an attractive anytime goalscorer option.

Score prediction: West Ham 1-2 Wolves

Back Wolves to win, Over 2.5 goals, Raul Jimenez anytime goalscorer at 9/1 with LiveScore Bet.
