West Ham have had a mixed start to life back in the Championship but they won 4-2 at home to Wolves on Tuesday and will be going after another three points against Derby at the London Stadium on Saturday.
There were lots of positives for West Ham to take from their midweek victory, including a two-goal contribution from Manchester City loanee Divine Mukasa.
But Hammers’ manager Nuno Espirito Santo will be looking for more consistency from his side, who haven’t registered back-to-back league wins since January.
Derby also had a positive midweek experience as they eased to a 2-0 triumph at Portsmouth.
The Rams climbed from 21st to 16th after their south coast success and they will be keen to kick on as they target an improvement on last season’s eighth-place finish.

Tomas Soucek (ankle) remains on the sidelines but options are boosted by the deadline-day loan signings of defender Morato and left back Adama Boiro from Nottingham Forest and Athletic Club.
Experienced defender Craig Forsyth sustained a knee injury in Derby’s victory at Portsmouth and faces a long spell on the sidelines. Lewis Travis is not ready to return and Carlton Morris, Matt Clarke, Derry Murkin and Patrick Agyemang remain in the treatment room.

West Ham are keen to establish a winning habit and they can build on the midweek success over Wolves by defeating Derby in another high-scoring game.
Nuno is known as a defensive-minded head coach but he went with a 4-4-2 formation against Wolves, with Pablo and Joel Piroe playing through the middle, Jarrod Bowen and Manor Solomon on the flanks and Mukasa offering further thrust from an offensive midfield position.
Wolves were overwhelmed by West Ham’s power and pace and it could be a similar experience for Derby, who may find it tough on one of their trickiest looking road trips of the campaign.
The Rams prevailed against an out-of-sorts Portsmouth on Tuesday, but they struggled in their previous games and could be outgunned in the capital.
