Vitor Matos will be eyeing a top-10 finish in the Championship for Swansea
  • Swansea have lost only one of their last six games

  • Charlton have won only four of their 22 away league games

  • Recommended Bet: Swansea @ 4/6

Both teams can play with freedom on the final day of the season in Swansea, with Charlton now safe from relegation, and the home side are fancied to complete a strong finish to the campaign to give themselves a chance of a top-10 finish.

Matching or exceeding last season's final placing of 11th place would be an impressive effort from the Swans given they were struggling when former manager Alan Sheehan was sacked in November.

Swansea's only defeat in their last six games was against an in-form Southampton side and they ended Norwich's play-off hopes with a 1-1 draw at Carrow Road last week.

Charlton will be relieved to have escaped the clutches of the bottom three with a game to spare thanks to their 2-1 home win over Hull last week, but that was their first success for eight games.

Team news

Both sides could freshen up their line-ups with nothing tangible on the line but Swansea are still missing Ethan Galbraith, Josh Key and Ishe Samuels-Smith while Zeidane Inoussa (back) remains doubtful to feature.

Charlton are set to reshuffle their line-up after Collins Sichenje and Greg Docherty were both injured against Hull. Amari'i Bell, Kayne Ramsay and Matty Godden will also have to be assessed before travelling to Wales and Josh Edwards (ankle) is still out of action. Tyreese Campbell and Lyndon Dykes are in contention for starting spots.

Prediction

Swansea would love to sign off for the season with a home win and they should be able to achieve that goal against Charlton on Saturday.

Despite some solid recent form including away wins at Leicester and QPR and last week's 1-1 draw at Norwich, the Swans have not won any of their last three home fixtures having been handed a tough run against promotion contenders Coventry, Middlesbrough and Southampton.

The Welsh side managed a point against Boro and went down to a last-minute goal against the fast-finishing Saints, but 19th-placed Charlton should be easier to overcome.

Striker Zan Vipotnik has been a revelation for Swansea this season and is six clear in the top scorer list with 23 Championship goals. He has fired home six times in his last six games and will be a major threat to an Addicks defence who have not kept a clean sheet in their last eight games.

The Addicks could be forgiven for easing up a little now they have guaranteed another season in the second tier but they have failed to beat out-of-form Oxford, Watford and Sheffield Wednesday in their last three away games and could find Swansea even more difficult to overcome.
