Preston vs Norwich predictions: Improving Canaries to cause damage at Deepdale

Norwich have scored in each of their last eight matches
Both teams have scored in Preston’s last eight fixtures
Recommended bet: Over 1.5 Norwich goals
As the Championship season closes in on the halfway point, Preston and Norwich have had contrasting fortunes with North End flying high in third and the Canaries stuck in the relegation places.
Preston have suffered only one defeat in their last 10 Championship outings and they were back to winning ways after a couple of draws with a 2-1 success at Oxford last weekend.
However, while Norwich’s league position looks precarious and they are three points adrift of safety with only crisis club Sheffield Wednesday below them in the table, there has been plenty of encouragement to take from their recent displays.
Philippe Clement’s men stopped Southampton’s hot streak with a 2-1 victory at Carrow Road last weekend and that came on the back of a 1-1 draw away at Sheffield United.

Team news
Preston striker Milutin Osmajic remains suspended and he is joined on the sidelines by Robbie Brady, Tom Carroll, Lewis Gibson, Jamal Lewis and Ali McCann.
Norwich remain without several first team players, including Shane Duffy, Ante Crnac, Papa Amadou Diallo, Gabriel Forsyth, Lucien Mahovo, Jeffrey Schlupp and Mirko Topic.
However, Harry Darling, Mathias Kvistgaarden and Jose Cordoba all returned to the squad for the recent win over Southampton.
Kenny McClean also featured in that win but joint-top scorer Josh Sargent missed out with concussion and will need to pass the concussion protocols.

Prediction
Preston sit third in the Championship, having lost only four of their opening 21 games, but they may not have things all their own way against a Norwich side that are much better than their second-bottom position implies.
The Canaries have struggled for large parts of the season but they pack a serious attacking threat, highlighted by last weekend’s 2-1 win at home to Southampton.
The Saints had won six of their previous seven league games so that was some scalp to claim for Norwich, who had earlier held Sheffield United to a 1-1 draw at Bramall Lane.
Norwich have scored at least twice in three of their last four league outings and, with confidence restored, they could grab a couple more goals against a Preston side that are without a clean sheet in eight.
However, the visitors have failed to win any of their last nine away games and they have conceded in each of their last 17 matches, suggesting backing them to score a couple could be safer than prioritising the win.
