Sheff Utd have two wins and a draw in their last three league meetings with Portsmouth
Portsmouth have conceded in seven of their last eight home games
Recommended Bet: Sheffield United to win
It makes sense to see two bottom-half teams in action in the Championship on Saturday, when the fixtures involve all the clubs who made an early exit from the FA Cup.
However, the outlook is much brighter now for both Portsmouth and Sheffield United than it was earlier in the season and their clash at Fratton Park should be well worth watching.
Portsmouth are only one point above the relegation zone in 20th place, but their 1-0 loss at Preston last week was their first defeat in the league since New Year's Day.
The Blades, meanwhile, have climbed out of the bottom three since Ruben Selles was replaced by returning boss Chris Wilder and they are six points better off than Pompey in 17th place, albeit having played two more games.

Team news
Portsmouth will be without winger Keshi Anderson due to a hamstring injury that could keep him out for at least six weeks. Striker Colby Bishop could miss out again with an ankle problem.
Sheffield United will be without midfielder Joe Rothwell, who begins a three-game suspension following his red card against Middlesbrough. His absence could give Kalvin Phillips a chance to come into the starting line-up, with Oliver Arblaster, Sydie Peck and Djibril Soumare also in the midfield mix for the Blades.

Prediction
Sheffield United are still only 17th in the Championship standings but the fact that they are favourites to win on the road at Portsmouth on Saturday shows how far they have come since their disastrous start to the season.
The Blades finished 36 points and 13 places above Pompey last season when just missing out on automatic promotion, but after replacing manager Chris Wilder with Ruben Selles, they were yet to score a point when Wilder returned to the dugout in September.
United are not quite back to the form they showed last season yet, but a recent win over Ipswich and draw at Millwall showed they can again compete with promotion hopefuls and last week's 2-1 home defeat by new leaders Middlesbrough saw them put in another spirited performance.
Portsmouth have raised their game in recent weeks, too, and had taken eight points from four games before last week's 1-0 defeat at Preston.
They look capable of finishing the season further away from the drop zone than they are now, but they may first see their progress halted by the rejuvenated Blades.
