Coventry can clinch promotion when they visit Blackburn on Friday night
Third-placed Millwall entertain QPR in an early kick-off on Saturday
Ipswich and Middlesbrough go head-to-head on Sunday
The pressure is on at both ends of the Championship table with the promotion and relegation battles reaching a crucial stage.
This weekend's 12-match programme could go a long way to deciding some of the big issues and we have provided a score prediction for every game.
Blackburn vs Coventry (Friday, 8pm)
Coventry are all but mathematically assured of promotion from the Championship already but the Sky Blues will put the issue beyond any doubt if they avoid defeat at Blackburn on Friday night.
Frank Lampard's team have drawn their last two games 0-0 but they may not need to score many to see off the home side, who have managed only two goals in their last five games.
Score prediction: Blackburn 0-2 Coventry
Derby vs Oxford (Saturday, 12.30pm)
Oxford have made a tremendous bid to avoid relegation by losing only one of their last eight games, but they remain two points from safety and may not be able to boost their cause when they visit play-off chasing Derby.
The Rams have won five of their last eight games, with the losses all coming against top-four teams, and the away side are far from that standard.
Score prediction: Derby 2-1 Oxford
Millwall vs QPR (Saturday, 12.30pm)
Millwall have fluffed their lines in their last two matches, failing to beat Norwich and West Brom, so while the Lions can move into second place, at least temporarily, if they beat QPR at home, that is not guaranteed to happen.
Millwall have lost back-to-back home games, while QPR have taken 11 points in a five-match unbeaten run and they are not likely to roll over easily.
Score prediction: Millwall 1-1 QPR
Portsmouth vs Leicester (Saturday, 12.30pm)
Portsmouth have boosted their survival hopes with two excellent wins over high-flying Middlesbrough and Ipswich in the last week and they can earn another valuable point when they host a desperate Leicester side.
The Foxes have fallen to 23rd place after a five-match winless run, but they have drawn six of their last 10 league games and will be the fresher side having had no midweek fixture.
Score prediction: Portsmouth 1-1 Leicester
Bristol City vs Norwich (Saturday, 3pm)
Bristol City and Norwich both have 58 points from 42 games and look set to miss out on the play-offs.
The Robins have taken seven points from their last three matches, but while Norwich lost to rivals Ipswich in the East Anglian derby last weekend, they had been in excellent form before that and look capable of bouncing back.
Score prediction: Bristol City 1-2 Norwich
Hull vs Birmingham (Saturday, 3pm)
Hull's play-off challenge has stalled as they have taken only two points from their last three games, but they could get back to winning ways against Birmingham.
The visitors effectively ensured they will remain in the Championship next season by beating Wrexham last week, but they have suffered four successive away defeats and could find this test too tough as well.
Score prediction: Hull 2-0 Birmingham
Preston vs West Brom (Saturday, 3pm)
This game matters much more to relegation battlers West Brom than mid-table Preston and the Baggies are on a seven-match unbeaten run, although only two of those have been wins.
North End have been in solid form themselves, though, taking eight points from their last four games, and they could leave their visitors in further trouble.
Score prediction: Preston 1-0 West Brom
Sheffield Wednesday vs Charlton (Saturday, 3pm)
Sheffield Wednesday are aiming to score points in three successive games for only the second time this season after draws against Leicester and Coventry, but Charlton can take a major step towards safety with an away win.
The Owls are yet to win at home this season and the Addicks will not want to pass up this opportunity to boost their chances of spending another season in the second tier.
Score prediction: Sheffield Wednesday 1-2 Charlton
Swansea vs Southampton (Saturday, 3pm)
Swansea were able to end a four-game winless streak by winning 1-0 at Leicester in their last match but they should struggle to hold back red-hot Southampton.
The Saints have won seven games in a row, including their FA Cup victory over Arsenal, and they have scored 10 goals in three matches since that famous success.
Score prediction: Swansea 0-3 Southampton
Watford vs Sheffield United (Saturday, 3pm)
Watford and Sheffield United are two of the more inconsistent teams in this division but the Blades grabbed a valuable home win against Hull last week, while the Hornets are slumping again and have picked up only two points from their last four games.
United have won seven away games already this season and can confirm their place in the division for next term with another road success.
Score prediction: Watford 0-2 Sheffield United
Wrexham vs Stoke (Saturday, 3pm)
Back-to-back defeats by Southampton and Birmingham have left Wrexham with little margin for further error if they want to make the play-offs, but they can at least keep themselves in the hunt by beating poor travellers Stoke.
The Potters have lost five successive away games and the hosts should get revenge for their 1-0 defeat in the teams' first meeting of the season.
Score prediction: Wrexham 3-1 Stoke
Ipswich vs Middlesbrough (Sunday, noon)
Ipswich lost for the first time in 10 games against Portsmouth at Fratton Park on Tuesday but they are capable of bouncing back when promotion rivals Middlesbrough visit Portman Road.
The Tractor Boys have lost only one of their 21 league games on home soil while Boro have fallen to fifth place after a six-match winless run.
Score prediction: Ipswich 2-0 Middlesbrough
