Leaders Coventry visit Birmingham on Sunday lunchtime
Second-placed Ipswich take on Portsmouth at Fratton Park
Leicester host West Brom on Monday night
Leaders Coventry have had a mini-wobble in the Championship over the festive period with only one win in their last four games, but they still have a handy eight-point lead heading into the next round of fixtures on Sunday and Monday.
The next seven teams in the standings are separated by just five points, so it is all top play for as we look ahead to the latest round of matches and provide a score prediction for each fixture.
Birmingham vs Coventry (Sunday, noon)
Coventry's pace at the top of the Championship has slowed with only five points taken from their last four games and just two wins in their previous seven, but they can get back on track at Birmingham. The Blues are on a seven-match winless run and have not scored more than once in any of those games.
Score prediction: Birmingham 1-2 Coventry
QPR vs Sheffield Wednesday (Sunday, noon)
QPR have taken only one point from their last three games but a visit from rock-bottom Sheffield Wednesday, who have won only one of their 24 league matches, should get them back on track. The home side have not kept a clean sheet in their last eight games, so the visitors could grab a consolation strike.
Score prediction: QPR 3-1 Sheffield Wednesday
Sheffield United vs Oxford (Sunday, noon)
Sheffield United's revival under Chris Wilder continues and they have won seven of their last 10 games after an excellent 3-1 home success over Leicester on New Year’s Day. Struggling Oxford are showing plenty of fight but may come up short again.
Score prediction: Sheffield United 2-0 Oxford
Blackburn vs Charlton (Sunday, 3pm)
Both these teams are struggling for goals and they could play out a drab encounter. Charlton have not scored more than once in a game since October and Blackburn have not scored in any of their last three matches.
Score prediction: Blackburn 0-0 Charlton
Bristol City vs Preston (Sunday, 3pm)
Two play-off contenders clash at Ashton Gate and Bristol City are in the kind of form that could see them secure a valuable victory. The Robins thrashed Portsmouth 5-0 for their third win in their last four games on Thursday and Preston could struggle to hold them back.
Score prediction: Bristol City 2-1 Preston
Derby vs Wrexham (Sunday, 3pm)
Wrexham have been in fine form with three consecutive wins over Sheffield United, Preston and Blackburn, but Derby are also going well and coming off an excellent victory over Middlesbrough. There may not be much between them in a potentially entertaining game.
Score prediction: Derby 2-2 Wrexham
Hull vs Watford (Sunday, 3pm)
Hull and Watford begin the day level on 41 points in fifth and fourth place respectively but the Hornets are enjoying a strong run and can make it five wins in a row. The Tigers disappointed in a 1-0 home loss to Stoke on Thursday and this is a tough test.
Score prediction: Hull 1-2 Watford
Middlesbrough vs Southampton (Sunday, 3pm)
Two out-of-form sides meet at the Riverside with Middlesbrough having failed to score in their last four games while Southampton are winless in five outings. A point each may be welcomed by both teams.
Score prediction: Middlesbrough 0-0 Southampton
Millwall vs Swansea (Sunday, 3pm)
Swansea's recent away win at struggling Oxford was their first success on the road since September and they could come unstuck at Millwall. The Lions are unbeaten in three games and could edge this one at the Den.
Score prediction: Millwall 1-0 Swansea
Norwich vs Stoke (Sunday, 3pm)
Things are looking better for Norwich after only one defeat in their last six matches, but they could come unstuck at home to Stoke. The Potters won at Hull on Thursday and can inflict a ninth home defeat of the season on the Canaries.
Score prediction: Norwich 1-2 Stoke
Portsmouth vs Ipswich (Sunday, 3pm)
Portsmouth would surely have preferred more time to sort themselves out after Thursday's 5-0 thrashing by Bristol City before facing second-placed Ipswich, and the Tractor Boys should take full advantage of their hosts' vulnerability.
Score prediction: Portsmouth 0-2 Ipswich
Leicester vs West Brom (Monday, 8pm)
Leicester have had a tough run of fixtures over the holiday period but could get back on track in Monday's game against West Brom. Albion have suffered 10 defeats in 13 away league games this season while the Foxes have lost only three of their 12 home fixtures.
Score prediction: Leicester 2-0 West Brom
