Singh to J Archer
Two runs. Arshdeep Singh to Jofra Archer. Half volley, outside off stump on the front foot working, Played to deep square leg for 2 runs, fielded by Sooryavanshi. England win by four wickets, with an over to spare, to take a 1-0 lead in the series. After losing two early wickets during the powerplay, Harry Brook counter-attacked and played a fiery cameo. Tom Banton and Jacob Bethell then put together a valuable partnership in the middle overs against some good containing bowling from India. It was the 17th over however that proved to be the key moment in the game as 29 runs and four boundaries for Jacob Bethell took the game out of India's hands. Arshdeep Singh was the standout performer for India, finishing with three wickets. Jacob Bethell, who remained unbeaten on 76, received the Player of the Match award.
