Tottenham Eye Up €25m AC Milan Star and Aston Villa Transfer Target Youssouf Fofana

Tottenham are considering a summer move for AC Milan star Youssouf Fofana in a bid to bolster their midfield ranks, reports Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport.
Spurs are expected to strengthen in the middle of the park in the off-season, with a new number six the priority for the north London side.
Concerns over Palhinha and Bissouma's Spurs future
The 2025 Europa League winners added Joao Palhinha to the books last year, bringing in the former Fulham on a season-long loan from Bayern Munich.
However, there remains doubts over whether Spurs will look to make Palhinha’s move permanent once the season draws to a close.
And with concerns over Yves Bissouma’s future in the capital, Spurs are weighing up a move for Fofana.
AC Milan will want at least €25m for Fofana
The 27-year-old joined AC Milan from French side Monaco in 2024 and has gone on to become a key man for the Italian powerhouse.
Even so, the Rossoneri may be prepared to sanction Fofana’s sale should a club match the €25m they paid Monaco to secure his services two years ago.
Spurs, though, would face competition from Premier League rivals Aston Villa, with the Midlands side also keen on bringing in a new midfielder this summer.
Villa would have the advantage of being able to offer European football should they enter the race for Fofana, whereas Spurs remain embroiled in a battle to stave off relegation.
Spurs travel to Villa on Sunday
Roberto De Zerbi’s men are two points off safety with four games to play and travel to Villa Park on Sunday evening as they seek to secure a second league victory of 2026 in their quest to beat the drop.
Villa, meanwhile, are out to bounce back from successive defeats having followed up a 1-0 loss to Fulham last weekend with a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest in the Europa League.
