Chelsea and Liverpool transfer target Marcos Senesi is keen to agree terms with a new club before the end of the season, reports talkSPORT.

The Bournemouth centre-back is out of contract at the end of the season and there is no shortage of suitors for the Argentina international.

The Cherries are desperate to retain the 28-year-old’s services but are unlikely to convince Senesi to remain at the Vitality Stadium.

And Senesi’s performances haven’t gone unnoticed with a number of Premier League and European teams keeping tabs on the former Feyenoord man.

Chelsea linked with Bournemouth star

Chelsea have been credited with an interest in the Argentina international with the Blues considering moving away from their policy of hoovering up the brightest young talents to instead add some experience at the back.

Wesley Fofana has struggled with injury issues during his Chelsea career, while Tosin Adarabioyo has flattered to deceive following his move to Stamford Bridge in 2024.

Chelsea, who were credited with an interest in Senesi in January, aren’t the only London side weighing up a move for the defender.

Tottenham would rivals Blues for Senesi

Rivals Tottenham are expected to bolster at the back in the off-season, with both Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven set to depart the club in the summer.

Any move for Senesi, though, is dependent on the club staving relegation, which will prove easier said than done.

Spurs currently sit 18th in the Premier League following Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Sunderland, a result that extended their winless run to 14 matches.

Liverpool in the running for centre-back

Liverpool, too, are also monitoring Senesi as they consider their centre-back options ahead of the summer window.

The Reds are tipped to strengthen at the back in the off-season, and have already secured the services of youngster Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes.

However, the Frenchman won’t be the only new defensive arrival, with the defending Premier League champions considering their options.

Serie A side Juventus and La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are also tipped to make a move for Senesi, while Barcelona also hold an interest in the Bournemouth star, though he will likely remain in the Premier League.

Bournemouth extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches on Saturday as the Cherries got their better of title chasing Arsenal at the Emirates.
