Man Utd Eye Aurelien Tchouameni Transfer as Casemiro Exit Looms - Summer Midfield Overhaul Plans Revealed

Manchester United have added Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni to their midfield wishlist as they gear up for a summer revamp, according to the Daily Telegraph.
United are in the market for a new number 6 ahead of Casemiro's summer exit.
The Brazilian ball winner made the move to Old Trafford four years ago, but will leave the club once his contract ends in the summer.
And with question marks over Manuel Ugarte’s future in Manchester, United are expected to prioritise the middle of the park once the transfer window opens.
United eyeing up midfield targets
Michael Carrick’s side have been linked with a host of midfielders as they prepare for a refresh in a key area.
Atalanta star Ederson has been linked with a summer switch to the Premier League powerhouse, while Leeds man Ao Tanaka is another player of interest.
And France international Tchouameni has emerged as a potential target for United in their bid to replace Casemiro later this year.
Real Madrid considering Tchouameni replacements
However, any move for Tchouameni is dependent on Real Madrid bringing in a replacement for the ex-Monaco man.
Manchester City star Rodri, who is out of contract next year, is believed to be the priority for Real Madrid supremo Florentino Perez.
Chelsea man Enzo Fernandez is another who is reportedly on the club’s radar with the Argentine recently talking up a move to the Spanish capital.
Tchouameni isn’t the only midfielder that United wish to sign this summer as they strive to replace Casemiro and potentially Ugarte.
United midfield targets revealed
Elliot Anderson is another player wanted by United, though rivals Manchester City are the frontrunners for the Nottingham Forest man.
Crystal Palace ace Adam Wharton is another who has previously been courted by United, as has Brighton’s Carlos Baleba.
Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali was another rumoured target for United, however the Italian is also of interest to Chelsea, City, Arsenal and Real Madrid.
United are closing in on a return to the Champions League following their 1-0 win at Chelsea on Saturday night.
Carrick’s side are now 10 points clear of sixth place with five games to go.
