Arsenal have been impressed by the rapid improvement and technical ability of England and Newcastle left-back Lewis Hall, reports Caught Offside.

Of late, reports suggested the Gunners were planning on adding to the English core at the Emirates. They already boast top talents such as Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka, as well as the likes of Ben White, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke.

Two of those were signed last summer and it seems more signings could soon follow from the Three Lions squad.

Caught Offside suggests Arsenal are one of the clubs who are tracking the progress of Newcastle left-back Hall.

They, along with the likes of Hall's former club, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid all have him in their sights.

The Premier League's top two clubs Arsenal and City, particularly, are said to be impressed by Hall's 'rapid improvement and technical ability.'

The left-back debuted for England in 2024 and after missing a fair few international breaks, played in both of the Three Lions' games in the most recent break, and he could be a shoo-in to play left-back at the World Cup.

Good performances there would only increase the interest in the Newcastle man.

Newcastle keen to retain Hall

Amid a lot of interest, though, the Magpies' leadership are said to have made it clear that Hall remains a vital part of their long-term vision, and they have no interest in letting him go easily.

Their firm stance, backed by a strong contract situation, means any move would take an 'extraordinary offer.'

Indeed, Newcastle have a strong stance on many of their players, with big names such as Anthony Gordon, Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali all also garnering a lot of interest, and they'd cost big sums themselves.

The Magpies will be adamant about not losing all of those stars in quick succession, so moves for one or two will surely drive the price tags of others up even further.

The suggestion is that Hall's price would begin at £50million, but if multiple clubs enter the race for him, then Newcastle would demand 'significantly more,' knowing that the clubs would enter into a bidding war with each other.

Even if that happens, the club would look to generate money through alternative player sales rather than sacrificing one of their most promising talents.
