And with the likes of Neymar, Karim Benzema and Sadio Mane joining Cristiano Ronaldo in the Middle East, there have been plenty of huge names on the move.
Al-Ahli
Merih Demiral
Former Juventus centre-back Merih Demiral joined Al-Ahli on a three-year deal after spending the last two seasons at Atalanta.
The 39-cap Turkey international is still just 25 and looks as if he will be spending his prime years in Saudi.
Roberto Firmino
Roberto Firmino, 31, decided to join Al-Ahli on a free transfer after leaving Liverpool. The Brazilian ace signed a three-year deal with the Jeddah-based outfit.
During his eight years with the Reds, the 55-cap international helped them lift the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
Roger Ibanez
Al-Ahli bolstered their defence with the signing of Roger Ibanez from Roma on a four-year deal.
The 24-year-old Brazil international was a regular starter under Jose Mourinho in the Eternal City and helped the Giallorossi win the Europa Conference League in 2022.
