Americans look difficult to stop
The Americans have often entered these events with a wealth of talent that has failed to gel, but it is hard to see them having many problems against the International team at Medinah.
In 15 Presidents Cup renewals, they have failed to win only twice: a defeat at Royal Melbourne in 1998 and a tie in South Africa in 2003, and only once has the winning margin been less than three points.
Seven of the players USA captain Brandt Snedeker has under his control are ranked in the world's top 10 and the International team looks a lot weaker on paper.

Schauffele could be the top contributor
The USA team has a galaxy of stars, which makes the top team points scorer market a competitive heat.
However, Xander Schauffele, who has formed an excellent foursomes partnership with Patrick Cantlay in this competition, looks like one who could certainly shine.
He has a 4-1 record in that format since making his debut in 2019 and has won all three of his singles matches, so the two-time Major champion could prove a cornerstone of the home challenge.

Scott's know-how could prove invaluable
No international player has made more Presidents Cup appearances than Adam Scott, who has taken 23 points from his 54 matches, an excellent return considering his team have been on the receiving end of some hefty defeats.
The 46-year-old Australian is still a top operator, as he showed when second to JJ Spaun at last week's BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.
Scott's preceding form figures read 9-12-16-11, so he arrives at Medinah in fine fettle.
