Wrexham vs Middlesbrough - 12:30 pm (Championship)

Wrexham’s tussle with Middlesbrough on the final day of the regular Championship campaign promises drama and goalmouth action. The hosts need points to guarantee a playoff finish, while Boro, who are certain of a top-six finish, can still claim automatic promotion if results go their way, and the sides’ shared pursuit of victory could spark excitement. Wrexham’s last seven home games in league and cup have averaged 4.28 goals per 90 minutes and Saturday’s fixture could be similar.

Hoffenheim vs VfB Stuttgart - 2:30 pm (Bundesliga)

109 goals have been scored in Hoffenheim’s 31 Bundesliga fixtures this term, which breaks down to a healthy 3.51 goals per game, and their encounter with Stuttgart could be in keeping with those trends. When Stuttgart travel, goals are usually guaranteed and eight of their last nine away assignments in all competitions have produced over 2.5 goals. Ten of Hoffenheim’s last 12 fixtures have also vaulted the over 2.5 goal barrier, so expect mayhem at the PreZero Arena.

Newcastle vs Brighton - 3:00 pm (Premier League)

Brighton still have an outside chance of landing Champions League qualification through a top-five finish this term, though they need to be note perfect from here on in. Albion will be chasing down a crucial victory at an out-of-sorts Newcastle on Saturday and that could lead to an open game at St. James’ Park. Seven of the Magpies’ last eight outings at that venue in all competitions have featured 3+ goals, as have 11 of their last 13 home games in the Premier League.

Harrogate vs Barnet - 3:00 pm (League Two)

Harrogate and Barnet are preparing to slug it out on the final day of the season in EFL League Two, with both combatants desperate to secure destiny-defining wins. Town need a win to save their skins, while the free-scoring Bees could snatch a playoff spot at the death with the right result. Barnet, who have hit 16 goals in their last four matches combined, will go for the jugular again, though Harrogate won’t want to take a backwards step either. Expect an action-packed campaign closer.

NEC Nijmegen vs Telstar - 8:00 pm (Eredivisie)

NEC (3rd) are targeting Champions League qualification for the first time in their history and a comfortable win over Telstar on Saturday evening would strengthen their claims. Only runaway Eredivisie leaders PSV (90) have scored more goals than NEC (73) this term, while league games at the Goffertstadion have been averaging 4.04 goals since August. Telstar conceded seven goals in their last two away tests combined and their defence could be pulled apart on the road again here.

FC Porto vs Alverca - 8:30 pm (Primeira Liga)

If results earlier in the day go their way, Porto could already be champions by the time they face Alverca on Saturday night, though they have the quality to seal the deal themselves if required. Alverca have a habit of capitulating against the best sides. They’ve already lost 4-0 to Gil Vicente, 5-1 and 4-1 to Sporting (cup and league) and 5-0 at Braga this term, and they could fold again if Porto put the squeeze on them at the Estádio do Dragão.
