NBA

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Detroit Pistons Game One at 7:00 p.m. EDT on NBCSN and Peacock.

After both of these teams were pushed to the brink of elimination and forced into Game Sevens, they took care of business and punched their tickets to the next round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs over the weekend. Neither squad was able to get the edge over the other during the regular season series, as Detroit and Cleveland both won two games apiece. Either way, this matchup will be littered with NBA stars as the Pistons' Cade Cunningham comes into tonight averaging the second-most per game in the postseason (32.4). Simultaneously, the Cavs' Donovan Mitchell is looking for a return to form after being held to 20 points per game in his last five outings.

One question that will be answered: Will Cade Cunningham record his fourth consecutive game with at least 30 points?

Los Angeles Lakers @ Oklahoma City Thunder Game One at 8:30 p.m. EDT on NBC and Peacock.

Two of the more well-rested teams in the second round of the NBA Playoffs take the court tonight as the Los Angeles Lakers kick off their series against the top-seeded team in the league, the Oklahoma City Thunder. There's a chance that two of the best players in this matchup will not be available tonight. LA's Luka Dončić has already been ruled out as he continues to come back from a hamstring injury, while OKC's Jalen Williams is listed as a game-time decision with his own hamstring issue. Thankfully, LeBron James and MVP-favorite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will both be on the floor as they look to lead their teams to a victory in Game One.

One question that will be answered: How many points will LeBron and SGA combine for tonight?

MLB

Cincinnati Reds @ Chicago Cubs at 7:40 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

In the second of a four-game set, the 20-15 Reds are hoping to bounce back from the loss they suffered yesterday at the hands of the 23-12 Cubs. Down 4-3 in the ninth inning, pinch-hitter Michael Conforto hit a two-run homer to lift Chicago over Cincinnati, 5-4. It was the first career walk-off home run in Conforto’s 12-year career. Andrew Abbott will be on the mound for the Reds as he tries to win his fourth straight start. Meanwhile, Cubs righty Jameson Taillon is gunning for his third consecutive victory. One of those guys will keep their streak alive.

One question that will be answered: Can Cincy first baseman Sal Stewart get out of his slump and hit an RBI for the first time since April 25th, considering he's tied for the third-most in the league (29)?

Milwaukee Brewers @ St. Louis Cardinals at 7:45 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

It'll be a busy day for the NL Central as another pair of division rivals continue their four-game series. The 21-14 St. Louis Cardinals are trying to keep pace with the Cubs, who currently lead the Central by two games. At the same time, the 18-16 Brewers need a victory if they want to crawl out of last place in the division. Following a 6-3 loss last night, Milwaukee will be turning to Brandon Sproat, who is still looking for his first win of the campaign. On the other side, Andre Pallante gets the nod for the Cards as he hopes to improve his record to 4-2.

One question that will be answered: Since they're tied with the Yankees for the most stolen bases in the league (38), will Milwaukee record at least two stolen bases tonight?

NHL

Minnesota Wild @ Colorado Avalanche Game Two at 8:00 p.m. EDT on ESPN.

There was no shortage of offense in the first game of this series as Minnesota and Colorado combined for 15 goals on Sunday, easily the most we’ve seen in a 2026 Stanley Cup Playoff game. Avalanche star defenseman Cale Makar, who had to exit the contest early in the first period due to an injury, not only returned to the game in the second period, but he also recorded two goals and an assist for three points on the evening. In the end, Colorado's offensive explosion proved too much for the Wild as the Avalanche won 9-6. After goalies Jesper Wallstedt and Scott Wedgewood finished the first contest with a total save percentage of .821, those two will have to be much better tonight if they want their respective teams to have a shot at taking Game Two.

One question that will be answered: Will these squads score at least nine total goals this evening between the two of them?
