MLB

Milwaukee Brewers @ Detroit Tigers at 1:10 p.m. EDT on ESPN Unlimited and MLB.TV.

The rubber match between the Brew Crew and the Motor City Kitties will take place this afternoon, less than 24 hours after the Tigers evened up the series with a 5-2 victory. Today’s game will be a must-watch because Detroit ace Tarik Skubal will be on the mound. He has the ninth-best ERA amongst starting pitchers in the Majors (2.08). Plus, he's tied for 13th in the MLB in strikeouts with 33, so he'll likely move up the list with a good performance this afternoon.

One question that will be answered: Since he's averaging almost 10 Ks per nine innings pitched, how many strikeouts will Skubal have today?

Philadelphia Phillies @ Chicago Cubs at 2:20 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

The New York Mets won yesterday! That means that the longest losing streak in baseball now belongs to the Philadelphia Phillies at eight games. Even shortstop Trea Turner admitted that he's "not having much fun." Meanwhile, the Chicago Cubs look like Philly’s opposite, with the longest winning streak in the Majors (eight games). Ace Cristopher Sanchez gets the start for Philadelphia, while Edward Cabrera will be on the bump for Chicago. No matter what happens, one of these streaks will end today!

One question that will be answered: Will Cristopher Sanchez give up his second home run of the season to the team that has the eighth-most in the MLB (29)?

Pittsburgh Pirates @ Texas Rangers at 8:05 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

The Rangers got one back on the Pirates with an 8-4 win yesterday, tying this thing up at one game apiece. So, tonight’s matchup will determine who takes the series. Bubba Chandler will be making his fourth start of the campaign for Pittsburgh. On the other side, five-time All-Star Jacob deGrom gets the nod for Texas in what will be his fifth start of the year. The Rangers need a victory to move back into a first-place tie with the Athletics for the lead in the AL West. Despite the Pirates' 14-10 record, they're 1.5 games behind the Cincinnati Reds for the lead in the NL Central, so they need this one to keep pace in the highly competitive NL Central.

One question that will be answered: What will prevail: Texas' seventh-ranked pitching staff (84 earned runs allowed) or Pittsburgh's seventh-ranked offense (122 runs scored)?

NBA

New York Knicks @ Atlanta Hawks at 7:00 p.m. EDT on Amazon Prime Video.

Just when it looked like the Knickerbockers were going to head into Atlanta with a comfortable 2-0 series lead, the Hawks pulled off an incredible 12-point rally in the fourth quarter of Monday's game for a 107-106 win. New York's Mikal Bridges had a chance to steal a victory for the Knicks, but he missed his game-winning two-pointer as time expired. We need to give props to Atlanta guard CJ McCollum, who turned back the clock and scored 32 points on a night where he shot 54.5% from the field. Now that the series is heading to Georgia, the momentum seems to have shifted in favor of the Hawks.

One question that will be answered: Will the winning team score at least 110 points?

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Toronto Raptors at 8:00 p.m. EDT on Amazon Prime Video.

The Cavs took care of business in Cleveland after going up 2-0. Hell, the Raptors did not lead at any point during Monday night's game. James Harden and Donovan Mitchell were once again fantastic with 58 combined points. However, Cleveland center Evan Mobley also had a big impact on the game with 25 points and eight rebounds. We already know what to expect with Harden and Mitchell, but if Mobley can up his game, then there's a good chance Toronto will go down 0-3. They need a win tonight to change the feeling of this series.

One question that will be answered: After being held to 24 total points through the first two games of this series, can the Raptors' Brandon Ingram score at least 20 points tonight?

Denver Nuggets @ Minnesota Timberwolves at 9:30 p.m. EDT on Amazon Prime Video.

Despite falling behind by 17 points in the first half of Game Two, the Timberwolves mounted a furious comeback for a 119-114 victory three days ago. Minnesota's Anthony Edwards went off for 30 points, while forward Julius Randle added another 24. Jamal Murray continues to be a problem for the T-Wolves after he recorded his second consecutive 30-point game. And of course, Nikola Jokic was superb with 25 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists. Now that the series is heading to Minnesota, and things have started to get chippy between the two biggest stars in this matchup, it's looking more and more likely that this thing gets to a Game Seven.

One question that will be answered: Who will step up for the Nuggets and be the number-three scoring option that this team was missing in Game Two?

NHL

Buffalo Sabres @ Boston Bruins at 7:00 p.m. EDT on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max.

The series shifts to Boston after the Bruins evened things up with a 4-2 victory over Buffalo on Tuesday. Boston center Morgan Geekie tallied another goal in that game, bringing his point total to four so far in the playoffs (two goals and two assists). This will be the Sabres' biggest test of the campaign since they have not won a road game in Boston this season. In fact, it has been over a year since the Sabres won a road game against the Bruins. In all likelihood, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen will be between the pipes for Buffalo even though he got pulled after giving up four goals last game. This will be a great chance for Luukkonen to redeem himself after giving up one of the worst goals in Stanley Cup Playoff history.

One question that will be answered: Can Ukko-Pekka Lukkonen hold Boston to fewer than three goals?

Carolina Hurricanes @ Ottawa Senators at 7:30 p.m. EDT on TBS and HBO Max.

This series heads to Ottawa after an insanely dramatic finish in Game Two. The Hurricanes took a 2-0 lead in Round One after winger Jordan Martinook scored a game-winning goal for a 3-2 victory in double overtime on Monday. The Sens have had no answer for Carolina goalie Frederik Andersen, who is allowing the fewest goals per game so far in the Stanley Cup Playoffs (0.78). Despite a 0-2 record, Ottawa netminder Linus Ullmark has also performed well, ranking sixth out of 17 goalies in goals allowed per game this postseason (2.00). The good news for the Senators is that they'll be in Ottawa for the next two games, where they're tied for the tenth most home wins in the NHL (23). The Sens will need to put their best foot forward to avoid going down 0-3.

One question that will be answered: With only seven goals scored so far in this series, will these squads combine for at least five goals tonight?

Colorado Avalanche @ Los Angeles Kings at 10:00 p.m. EDT on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max.

Despite being the best team in the National Hockey League this season, the Colorado Avalanche have had their work cut out for them against the Los Angeles Kings, who finished the regular season with the fewest points in the standings amongst teams that qualified for the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Avs squeaked out a 2-1 overtime victory against LA on Tuesday after going down 1-0 in the third period of that game. The goaltending in this matchup has been phenomenal, considering Colorado’s Scott Wedgewood and Los Angeles’ Anton Forsberg have combined for a .949 save percentage. Tonight, the series moves to Los Angeles, where the Avalanche haven’t lost since April 12th, 2025.

One question that will be answered: Will we finally see at least four total goals scored this evening?

NFL

The First Round of the 2026 NFL Draft, starting at 8:00 p.m. EDT on the NFL Network, NFL+, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN Deportes.

Tonight, the lives of 32 young men will change forever as their names are etched in the NFL history books and their dreams of playing in the National Football League become a reality. Though Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza is expected to be taken with the first-overall pick by the Las Vegas Raiders, the rest of the first round is looking like a crapshoot. You'll just have to tune in to find out how the rest of round one shakes out after Mendoza's name is called first.

One question that will be answered: Who will draft Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, who is arguably the best player in the Class of 2026?
