With week one in the books the NFL is up and running. There were loads of exciting games and we managed to get a few winners from it as well. Now we move on to week 2 with a big Thursday Night Football matchup as the Detroit Lions travel to Buffalo to take on the Bills.
Here we give you a bet builder for the big matchup.
Tip 1: DJ Moore to score a touchdown anytime
Week one saw the Bills have a massive win away in Houston against the Texans. The Bills offence has always been good, but they looked a different beast against the number one defence from last season.
One of the reasons for the increase in quality offence is the arrival of veteran wide receiver DJ Moore. The former Panthers and Bears player has been good for many years in the NFL, but he now provides the Bills with a solid wide receiver option that they didn’t have before.
Against the Texans he had eight targets which saw him get five receptions, 100 yards and a touchdown. In this game he goes up against a Lions defence that teams can exploit, and he should get opportunities to score again.
Tip 2: Jahmyr Gibbs to score a touchdown anytime
Although the price on Gibbs to score a touchdown is low it is worth including in a bet builder. The running back has been great since arriving in the NFL and this year his usage should go up after the Lions didn’t re-sign David Montgomery.
Last week saw Gibbs have 29 rushing attempts and he got 156 yards and two touchdowns from them. He also gets used in the passing game as well. Last week he had five receptions for another 30 yards.
Gibbs is now a massive part of the Lions offence and if they are to get anything out of this game, he will likely have scored at least one touchdown.
Tip 3: Dalton Kincaid 40+ receiving yards
Kincaid has had a tough first three seasons in the NFL picking up niggling injuries that have derailed his potential. Last week he finally looked fit coming into the season and that should continue in this game.
Against the Texans he had five receptions from the six targets he got. He amassed 130 receiving yards where three of them were 20+ yards. Kincaid has always been targeted by Josh Allen and now that he is fully fit, he should have another good game.
Tip 4: Buffalo Bills -2.5 Moneyline
The Bills had a great result last week and another win is expected here against the Lions. Their defence might not have been great, but they should improve at home.
The Lions however, struggled to get the win against the New Orleans Saints at home and quarterback Jared Goff can struggle when not playing in a dome. Not only that but the Lions defence can be beaten and they could be in for a long night against a good Bills offence.
Expect the Bills to win by more than a field goal in this matchup.
